Glorious Navi at a good size.

One correction…the B01 (and its manual wind variant the B09) use a vertical clutch, which is why it doesn’t stutter when you engage the chrono. The lateral clutch (i.e. horizontal clutch) does stutter, but that’s not in this movement.

Beautiful! The vintage logo is the old AOPA logo because of the 70th birthday of the Navi. 🤩

It is interesting to see these side by side and the evolution of the Navitimer in the small details. I do like the cleaner look of the new one, but there is just something that draws me to the older model. Both very cool though.

Thanks for watching mate. It was definitely interesting seeing these side by side. I appreciate the clean dial but have always liked the business of the older dials.

I can't see the reverse panda in 41 on the Breitling website right now. It exists in the 43mm though, which is the one I have.... but one from about 2015. Still B01.

I gotta get my Navitimer serviced. The bezel got progressively stiffer as the years went buy. The thing is pretty hard to turn now. I'm sure they'll pop the bezel off and lubricate the o-ring.

I wonder how the polishing procedure will be accomplished when you send it in for service with the new polish/brushed design…

Date in sub dial is a no deal, same for the no quickset date. Still waiting for them to make the perfect Navi, they have message with the design to much over the years, I don't think their is a definitive Navi. I would tell people to buy a vintage one at this stage. NAVITIMER REF. 806 1959 RE-EDITION Is pretty nice.

I can see the refinishing guy banging his head off the wall when that newer bracelet comes in

I also have the 2007 model. I don't overly care for bracelets and wear mine on an Artem sailcloth. I do like the new model. Pity it doesn't have at least 100 mm of water resistance.

I agree! Should have addressed the WR issue by now. I mean since 1952 it’s been 50m 😂. I’ve had mine on the Artem as well. I go back and forth with the bracelet, leather, Artem, and even my StrapsCo rally bracelet.

That was the blue dial my friend. For some reason they don’t offer the blue dial in 41mm.

No way is it the best Navi ever - the proportions of the sub dials look way off to me. The best looking Navi is the older A23322 - peefegtly proportioned and 42mm.

His older model in this video is an A23322, with arabic instead of stick dial. I agree this was arguably the nicest propositioned Navi, but I think the new 41 is more handsome and obviously has the better movement.
