I have the black and gold omega, and love having the HE knob in the ten o’clock position. It sets it apart from all the others. Thanks for the review.

Great review. Im still watching this even after I bought the watch. Definitely a keeper. Got it with the bracelet for formal wear and bought the rubber band with deployment clasp for everyday wear. Definitely loving it. Thank you for the review. And yes! Silver IMO is the best dial.

Don, do you swap the bracelet and strap yourself or do you take it to an Omega AD? I'm considering buying one and have been told that to swap the bracelet I need to take it to an AD. Just wondering if that's necessary. Thanks.

Me too. I purchased at Omega boutique with Bracelet, and the blue rubber band was kindly thrown in with the purchase of the watch and buckle for the rubber band for daily wear to keep the bracelet looking good for formal wear.

Is it cool? Yeah! Will I ever use it? No, but it’s awesome! My PO has the helium valve and it’s just a unique Easter egg ice breaker. That exhibition case back is incredible man.

It is a beautiful watch. I got it with the blue rubber band since I am not a fan of Omega's bracelets. It is just personal taste. Nothing related with quality. Your video is different from everything else. Great job. 👍👏👏

I have the exact same watch...just bought it and I love it. I had an SMP300 from 1999 that I sold and moved up to this. The "Chrome" dial is by far the more under rated available.

Levi Stevenson Omega make amazing watches man. You will get there one day. Heck the Seamaster you saw in the video is my first luxury watch and I just got it last Christmas and I’m 45 man. 🤣

I want one of these. The antimagnetic movement means a lot to me. I go into MRI machines frequently, and that watch is literally the only one that can handle that level of magnetism.

@@rockthewatch Just had a question for you. I got my SMP 300 last Wednesday and is running at -2 seconds a day. I know that is excellent time keeping but it is out of specs since they should be 0 to +5 seconds a day correct? You think it is something I should be concerned about? It has only been kept in a winder and not really worn yet as I'm saving it for my birthday in a few days. Not sure that it matters on the winder or on wrist but thought I would share that info. Your feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

@@FadeToBlack2181 I wouldn’t worry about it. Haven’t even had mine on a time grapher. So COSC is -4/+6 a day and METAS is 0 to +5 like you stated out that is he n 5 positions and that is only at the factory. As soon as it leaves it could change a little. Just wear it in good health and enjoy it man. Basically just Rock That Watch🤟🏻

i agree with you about grey market purchase for that watch. i have the exact watch and chose like you to get mine from the Omega Boutique because if i had any issues i know it would be no question to have it taken care of. and the experience of the purchase and support has been so satisfying. I agree 100% with what you have said about quality for your money on that watch. i have a small red travel case that came built in to my box. Rolex box and presentation is not even close to that.

Love the passion. My Seamaster blue dial is on it’s way...👍

@@WatchUnwind yes I did. Unfortunately it’s too big on my wrist. Hopefully they come out with a 38mm at which time I will trade it for the smaller size. Also wish they kept the seahorse on the back. Otherwise a real beauty 👍👍👍

I really struggled to choose between a Sapphire Sandwich Speedmaster and the regular hesalite one, but in the end it was that display back on the former which spoke to me...& it's also my daily wearer so the sapphire will stand up to that better than the hesalite. White face with the black bezel is a really great looking one

I like the grey but also like the white faced one. I am still undecided on which to go for.

All the gripes about the waves, wart, scalloped besel, and bracelet style is what makes this watch unique! Why would anybody want a watch that looks like it's "trying to look like" something else? Especially if you have rolex in the rotation, wouldn't you want your other watches to be unique in their own way?

Just got one of these from Jomashop on the blue rubber. No issues at all looks perfect. Just did a unboxing of it for my own channel to show people what you can get from Jomashop

I'm in a similar position as it sounds you were in when you got this. I have way too many watches - i'm talking 40+ watches. They run the gambit from $30 casios, $300 g-shocks, $500-1000 microbrands, 9 seikos from quartz to $1000 dress watches - and even a couple pretty nice swiss divers (Oris Aquis, TAG aquaracer). But i'm looking at this exact same Omega in your video and *this* close to pulling the trigger. But I keep looking at my Oris and thinking - will i really appreciate this *that* much? I mean, I seriously get so amped for watches like my SARB017 Alpinist and my Zelos titanium forged carbon Swordfish. And those are sub $500. But I can't stop thinking about this Omega. Your video was really helpful man, I appreciate it.

I have a ZELOS Swordfish 42Mm Titanium that is awesome and I also have the Alpinist. If you do buy it I suggest you go Grey market. Somewhere like Jomashop. You can get it for much less than what I paid for it. Keep Rocking those Watches buddy 🤘🏻

I don’t know the weight I don’t get that specific on my channel but I just bought this watch on the rubber and I love how it feels not to light not to heavy . Just right

My box doesnt close that slow. it slams fast 😔 I have that exact watch... That dial really looks best when you get out in the sunlight.

Sometimes you can get a small discount at the AD but usually you are gonna pay full sticker. If you really want to save some money try a grey market dealer like Jomashop.

You can get these brand new with box for $3,700 and I’ve even seen them less on a good day from reputable dealers. I just can’t purchase via AD. Total rip offs. Enjoy the watch regardless- it’s precious.

Hot Sauce Benny I know sir. When my wife bought it for me in Nov of 2019 you could get these for about $4200. It was my first luxury watch and there was some apprehension on buying it online from the grey market. Check out my unboxing of my TUDOR Black Bay I purchased that from Jomashop and saved over $1000. Mister hot sauce I dunno if list price is a rip off as I think the detailing , brand prestige , and specs justify the price but I feel you. Just bought one on Jomashop. Can’t pay extra money when I don’t have to. Wish I could have supported the brand directly but they get their cut one way or another by the ad who supplied it to joma

Such a pity that the ridiculously large clasp ruins an otherwise perfect watch. I’ve had Seamasters of virtually every kind since 1997 and yet found this one the most uncomfortable to wear simply because the bracelet doesn’t taper; and that’s including the 45.5mm Planet Ocean I had in 2008. ☹️

I broke down and bought the blue one and to tell you the truth I was underwhelmed, maybe as time goes by ill appreciate it more but honestly my Monta has better finishing and feel more quality than the seamaster.

I prefer big and heavy bracelets, I was looking at a GS snowflake and the watch is stunning, but the bracelet feels cheap and nasty. Because it’s made of titanium it’s far too light.

The lighting is not good really cant see the fa e of the wat h good !!!!

Do you have 10k to borrow? .. I will return 5k immediately;)
