I lived in Salalah, Oman as a child in 1975 - 1976. And now, over 40 years later I am here again, working as a teacher (5 years here so far). Amazing then .....still wonderful now. 💛

I was born in 1986 in oman and to now 33 years..Oman became my second home..😌

I have lived in Oman for 2 years, it is certainly a magical place with friendly people.....God bless Oman and it's folks

Omani peoples are most gentle in gulf countries. I was in Saudi, Kuwait and Oman couple of years. But i always appreciate Omani people for their Candor,honesty,hospitality and such kind behavior. Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩🇧🇩

I have been working in Oman since 1994 till 2018 the best gulf country and the best Arabic people. It was like my house my people they never let me feel I m an outsider Thanks Oman and Thanks all my omani brothers and Sisters for the love and respect the gave me in those years miss Oman

I have seen myself since 1974 how Sultan Qaboos was working hard to bring oman to what it is today may Allah give him top place in jannatul firdaus and bless our new HM too to bring our country more progressive Inshahallah

سبحان الله شوف كيف كانت عمان برغم أني عمانية م لحقت ع هالزمان بس سبحان الله غير فيها كثير المرحوم السلطان قابوس قفزت قفزة عمان طورها بسرعة خلال ٥٠ سنة من حكمها كل الطرق كل الشوارع تسهلت بين القرى والمدن والجبال جعل منها اماكن لسياحه ومناظر خلابة وعمر السيوح لمدن الله هالله ي بن سعيد ونعم الرجل الحكماء جزيت ألف خير ع البناء والعطاء ف كل هالسنوات

Oman is a beautiful country and people are superb in hospitality. I have been lucky to have lived for 31 Years since 1969. Sultan Said was the ruler when I came to Muscat and Oman . Sultanate of Oman was named after HM Qaboos took over

I was in abudhabi from 1977 to 09. Travelled to Muscat several times by road via buraimi and sohar. Beautiful place beautiful people 😊this brings back memories of old abudhabi when life was so simple . Alf shukran ya aankh.

Realy interesting, I started going there in the late 70's staying at the Al Falaj Hotel in Muscat and driving down to Fahud and Marmul. Fond memories of the country and people.

Fantastic film - I was there at the time, but only with a 'still' camera. This cine film really gives the flavour of a forgotten past. Well done. most people in N. Oman did not realise that there was a war going on in the south of the country - google 'Operation Oman, to see about that part of the 70's history. Once again, thank you for the nostalgic trip!

Thanks for the beautiful video, Mr. Samir was a great & inspiring person and leader may Allaah bless his soul, my father Abdullah Al harthy moved to Muscat then Sidab before end of 1970 and managed the Water Department before starting own business, they new eachother very well, I'm sure he will enjoy watching the video and it will bring back a lot of beautiful memories

Salaam Samir u made me happy I got married and moved from Karachi to Muscat in June 1974 and v much same then also My husband Soud was first 4 Omanis selected by late HM on Al Said ship as a naval officer I am sure u will know my father in law Saif Salim Al mammary he was under secretary Ministry of Water and electricity and Taghlib barwani my relative

What I like about Oman is the people there. The omanis...they are very good. Only when the other Arab expatriates come and create trouble and people think that all arabs are like that. In all gcc countries the natives are very good.

Before 1970 life in oman was so rough that's why most of our parents didn't want to go back and lived the rest of their life in africa but always stayed patriotic.africa was heaven that time but look what his majest done to the nation within very short time.

Africah has been your second home Omani not only Zanzibar.
