Oman is a beautiful country and people are superb in hospitality. I have been lucky to have lived for 31 Years since 1969. Sultan Said was the ruler when I came to Muscat and Oman . Sultanate of Oman was named after HM Qaboos took over

Thanks for the beautiful video, Mr. Samir was a great & inspiring person and leader may Allaah bless his soul, my father Abdullah Al harthy moved to Muscat then Sidab before end of 1970 and managed the Water Department before starting own business, they new eachother very well, I'm sure he will enjoy watching the video and it will bring back a lot of beautiful memories

Hello Abraham. Thank you for your reply. I am sorry to hear that the cameraman/producer has passed away. I am editing a couple short videos for Oman Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center here in US. They gave me a stack of photographs to use but I really like this video. Would it be possible to use a couple small parts of it? Do you know who has copyright--was it shot for the Sultanate of Oman?

أثير انتباهكم إلى أن من قام بعمل الفيلم هو الدكتور سمير الخروصي، والذي كان يبلغ من العمر ٢٤ عاما عندما حصل على شهادة الدكتوراه في الفيزياء من جامعة مجيل في كندا وهي أحد أفضل الجامعات في العالم، كما كان الأول ليترأس برنامج التعمين في شركة تنمية نفط عمان PDO. فقد كان يؤمن بشدة بقدرات العمانيين على عكس الغالبية العظمى آنذاك. ويمكنم معرفة المزيد عنه في كتاب الشيخ خلفان العيسري رحمة الله عليه.

سبحان الله شوف كيف كانت عمان برغم أني عمانية م لحقت ع هالزمان بس سبحان الله غير فيها كثير المرحوم السلطان قابوس قفزت قفزة عمان طورها بسرعة خلال ٥٠ سنة من حكمها كل الطرق كل الشوارع تسهلت بين القرى والمدن والجبال جعل منها اماكن لسياحه ومناظر خلابة وعمر السيوح لمدن الله هالله ي بن سعيد ونعم الرجل الحكماء جزيت ألف خير ع البناء والعطاء ف كل هالسنوات

يمكن تقسيم الأحاديث الواردة في فضائل أهل عمان إلى ثلاثة أقسام : القسم الأول : أحاديث صحيحة . وهو حديث واحد ، يرويه الصحابي الجليل أبو برزة رضي الله عنه فيقول : ( بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا إِلَى حَيٍّ مِنْ أَحْيَاءِ الْعَرَبِ ، فَسَبُّوهُ وَضَرَبُوهُ ، فَجَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرَهُ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ عُمَانَ أَتَيْتَ مَا سَبُّوكَ وَلَا ضَرَبُوكَ ) رواه مسلم (رقم/2544) يقول القرطبي رحمه الله : " يعني : أن أهل عمان قوم فيهم علم ، وعفاف ، وتثبت ، والأشبه : أنهم أهل عُمان التي قِبَلَ [أي : ناحية] اليمن ؛ لأنهم ألين قلوباً ، وأرق أفئدة ، مِن : عَمَّنَ بالمكان : أقام به " انتهى باختصار من " المفهم لما أشكل من تلخيص صحيح مسلم " (6/501
