I think it should be pre 1990s cause since 1990s bollywood songs were very cheesy. The songs of 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s were classics that's why they don't find them cheesy.

The movie is also a tribute to Karz - having a similar storyline. And this song is incorporated in the movie. SRK is portrayed as an extra in the audience in this song.

@@explt9150 Being inspired and copy are two different things as well . When artists from US or Europe create renditions of classical music it is called as inspiration . When Indian artists do the same it is called as Copy . Most Old Classical songs are based on several 'Ragas' of Indian Classical music . Doesn't makes them a copy but a base and inspiration . George Benson made a nice tune but it was made better in Karz movie . Let's not be too much Xenomaniac for a change 😉

Your kind of people are the reason why Indians just keep copying. An artist that cannot create an original track is shit, no matter how hard you defend it.
