It's not even a womens bar - it's a technic or junior bar. So something around 7.5-10kg. But I think it wouldn't matter much to him, to use a regular 20kg mens bar... Great Video and very well explained! I'll have a lot of learning to do. Just started with lifting and the movements may look easy but are pretty complicated to learn. Also you'll have to get really good mobility.

The first informative video from my collab with Clarence Kennedy is here! A complete breakdown of the snatch as taught by Clarence. It's almost 20 minutes long (and this is considered the short version). I've included timestamps in the description for those that want to jump to certain parts. There is A LOT of information in here (took us damn near two full days to shoot/edit/upload) so don't be overwhelmed. Watch it a few times or in chunks. If you enjoyed this free content make sure to give the video a like and subscribe to Clarence's channel. Huge shout out to my Coach, Clarence for doing this. Coming up we have a full Clean & Jerk tutorial (and Clarence critiquing my lifts). Stay tuned! What questions do you guys have?!

One of your best videos to date, and thats coming from an OG sub since 2012! Very simple breakdown with everything you need to know and nothing you don't. Ive been subbed to Clarence for about a year a half, and this collab was totally unexpected, I never considered it would happen and holy hell the quality of production is exceptional as well as the content and information itself. Its great to see Clarence in the limelight which is different for him, hes always a super humble and reserved guy. He can finesse a barbell for sure. The time stamps are also a huge +. Day made, routine adjusted.

I'm getting burnt out on powerlifting so I just started getting coached on Olympic lifting today to switch things up and keep my training fun. After about an hour we worked up to hanging full snatches with 95lbs(very light for me). The drills to get there and the sheer amount of time bracing my core and gripping the bar had me exhausted by the end. Also, I'm a powerlifter so this was a lot of cardio for me. I'm stoked to see how well my strength transfers into these more technical lifts once I get them dialed in. Thanks for the years of quality content because I knew exactly where to look for supplemental coaching.

@@lxDarkToothxl Have I kept it up? Kinda. Coaching didn't go well. I definitely recommend anyone switching sports to find a coach who mainly trains weightlifters, not beginning crossfitters. Try to find a coach who has some strong clients with your body type. I didn't stick with my coach for long and did a bunch of random, fun training. Currently training 5 times a week with a friend while they prep for a bodybuilding competition. Two days a week I go to my friend's gym while it's closed and practice oly lifts for maybe an hour. I'm not great, still dialing in form. After the current training block I'm considering going to a different coach to clean things up. My technique is still way far behind my strength.
