SO. MANY. FEELINGS!!! I may have had goosebumps this entire episode and I got teary-eyed at LEAST once 🥹 This will likely go down as one of my favorite episodes in season 2. There was volleyball action happening the whole time but I don't even know how much I was really paying attention to it because I was either so emotional or so stressed out.
Regardless, I predicted that the Karasuno vs Seijoh match would go the distance and it is spanning these episodes like crazy! I love it!! Keep going forever!!!

seijoh is written the most blatantly antagonistic, and many of them just don't like kageyama specifically, so everything feels like an attack on karasuno. Kageyama has worked on communication enough before meeting the other teams in the show that they remain neutral to him and become good friends with one or more of the other karasuno members

Sarah, just want to tell you again that you are my FAVOURITE reactor of Haikyuu. Thank you so much!!!! I'm crying for Yamaguchi each time I watch this episode, I love his determined eyes and his calm thoughts!! He definitely saved the day, I’m so proud of his growth. One noticeable thing is that when Yamaguchi was serving, there would be more shots of Tsuki attacking or blocking. While everyone was shocked by Yamaguchi's performance and congratulated him, Tsuki had already taken his efforts to heart and said that the result was not unexpected. (Tsuki is happy, but he doesn’t say it.) These two guys are constantly improving together, and growing to become the SPEAR and SHIELD of Karasuno, as the author mentioned in the manga.

Another great watch. Leaving my support as usual & leaving my personal opinions about the iffy subs as usual: 6:15 「自分の意志で」➔ "On your own?". This is just fine as well as nice & short, but feel that something like "On your own volition" would've gotten the nuance across a bit better since「意志」is "a strong will to do something", & their line can be taken to be just saying that he went alone. 8:01「どいつもこいつも…雰囲気変えてきやがって!」➔ "All of their players have the nerve to get serious…”. Something more literal like “Damn it that every single one of them came back with a different aura/demeanor” would be better, since the original line is expressing Oikawa’s slight frustration AND admiration for the Karasuno squad for coming back with even more determination & a stronger mind-set. Their translation makes it sound like he’s pissed that they're playing "seriously" & doesn't even make sense. Another case of the translators trying to force a slightly "evil taste" to the opposing team members? 15:37「ネットイン!」➔ "It's in!". Don't know why they didn't just directly translate to "Net in!" here, since they themselves translate it as "net drop" later at around 16:11. 16:41「とは言え、本人としては不本意だろうけど」➔ “Though I’m sure he’s entirely comfortable with that”. This is obviously a mistranslation. It should be more like “That being said, I’m sure that for the person (Yamaguchi) himself, it’s not an entirely satisfactory situation”. 「不本意」means "against one's will" or "not one's intent", & Shimada is talking about the ball happening to touch the net for a "lucky" in & score neither was what the newly motivated Yamaguchi aimed for nor is he relieved/happy about it. They’re version is definitely missing a “not”. 26:47「一番濃い試合やってるよな」➔ "We're having our most intense match yet". This should be more like "we (really) DO have our most intense matches (with them), it seems". This line is actually the continuation of the line that started at 26:12. Sawamura is saying that by reflecting on all 3 matches they've had with Seijoh, it seems that they're always having the most densely packed games with them, not that this last match is comparatively more intense than the other 2. Her competitive nature driving her to talk negatively about & towards the opponent team & its members as if they're "villains to be vanquished" is still bothering me a bit, but when she started talking about attacking Kindaichi as a weak link, I must admit I was like "Oh, ho. Too bad...", knowing how he was going to make a come-back of sorts right afterwards. LOL & I just wanna add that I love the way Yoshino, Hiroyuki is voicing Iwaizumi with lines like 「どっちだよ?(20:44)」.

That's the great thing about HAIKYUU just when you think can it get more hyped than this, it takes the hype to another level😍. Shimada, Yamaguchi's mentor is so supporting and encouraging. Him shaking and the glare of his glasses while Yamaguchi was nailing service aces melted my ♥.

idk about yall but I'm convinced that if seijoh didn't add mad dog they would've lost the second set too. after watching this match I agreed a little more with Ushijima saying that oikawa is the only reason that seijoh is any good.

I think these were her reactions prior to the Commonwealth games.. maybe she hasn’t had a chance to record more yet.. I’m honestly surprised she posted this many reactions consistently with her busy schedule.. but yeah, this is like a worst place to wait longer.. since the next two episodes are 🔥
