I’m from Iran and watching David Taylor compete against our wrestler Hasan Yazdani in Worlds and Olympics, my god I would love to watch him compete in MMA. This guy is an absolute magician he is 4-1 against one of the greatest Iranian wrestlers of all time who is a real puzzle to solve. Almost every sports fan in Iran knows David Taylor

The ufc should be trying to draw these elite people from other combat sports. It adds some much and makes the sport better. I dream of the be day that a genuine world class boxer not past his peak makes the move

David is 33 years old. I love the magic man. But dang our community needs to transition a little sooner. At about 35 to 36, you start to lose a little something in full contact. It would be awesome to see him do it, though.

David Taylor is 33 after Olympic no injury he can be in UFC at the start of 2025 and by this time he is 34, the nice thing with this elit man and women is there are so good in there sport that they can almost skip there sport and only try to be as good as possible in the area they are not so good at. The MMA today is totaly not the same like it was back in 1993. It would be a honor to have David Taylor in UFC.

i would love for more high level wrestlers to transition to mma. great strikers are dominant champions at the moment, would love grapplers to have their moment too

A two time Olympic champ by definition has given up 4 years or more of their prime.

I’ve idolized David Taylor since I was in middle school, watching him dominate the country in high school. He’s been my favorite wrestler for almost 15 years. I don’t want to see him transition into mma. I think he’s just too old to start now

With DT as the #1 pound for pound wrestler in the world, AB took care of business and could end up winning more World and Olympic championships than JB or DT. He’s so young.

As an Iranian we respect Taylor alot and we admire him he is a beast!

Fighting your friend has nothing to do with being a nice guy or not. I fought a very good friend for a small regional title once upon a time. He lived at my house with my family as we trained. Eventually we had to fight. We were friends before and after. So what? I just never understood the argument that the willingness to fight friends is somehow mutually exclusive to ‘niceness’.

@@Chefjaescott when all you know for 30 years, is shooting for takedowns, then you will resort to shooting for takedowns instead of being a man and standing. Wrestlers have a hard time having pop in their punches too, they’re used to slow constricting movements. Look at the way Ben askren or Dillon danis throw punches. They have no pop

WWE is presently a red-hot money making machine, however, Vince was never big on tag teams and, now under new management, that is still the biggest weakness in WWE. Triple H, and Bo Nickal and David Taylor might do well to have some discussions. A Nickal/Taylor WWE tag team might be a new version of The Steiner Brothers or The Road Warriors or The Moondogs! The time is right!

The problem with "Cutting the line" is that it means someone else is pushed aside,which personally i think is unfair. 🤔

If he's good enough hes good enough. If he's shows enough ability to suggest that he can be a force in the octagon it seems fair. I agree he Definitely need to give a reason for us to believe he can fight MMA to get a go, which takes more than just dominating in freestyle wrestling.

No boxing background, young kids, 4 time World and Olympic Champion he doesn’t need or should want to go anywhere near MMA.
