He's been wrestling Taylor for years. If he didn't know how to defend an older, slower Taylor that would just be embarrassing. Brooks took 3 shot attempts in his last three matches, but some how got 3 passivity calls on his opponents. Dude is going to get wrecked at Olympics if all he does is hard snaps and push outs.

Brooks was the most dominant college wrestler I've seen in awhile. This is surprising though. Good for Brooks.

Bitter sweet. David Taylor was a god of my generation from childhood on up.

David is STILL good enough to be a 2x Olympic Gold champion, and still loses to Aaron Brooks- wow!

​@Oldshirt Brooks is a defensive wrestler who has 5 years of learning Taylor's feel and tricks. He didn't do shit but counter. He couldn't hit a set up and get to a leg. He stuff a guy who he's wrestled 1k times and people want to act like he's so dominant. Brooks doesn't do a goddamn thing. The olympic refs aren't going a give a shit about his hard snaps and drops to his knees. Only garbage american refs think that shit means anything. And certainly nobody is gifting him any matches for ridiculous calls late in matches. Brooks won't place because he has zero offense.

@@ExerciseHelps Brooks handled Taylor convincingly. However, Brooks legitimate lost to Zahid though. That match was ridiculous and Zahid lost out in a chance to wrestle Taylor. I have never seen such bad reffing…

It's crazy what Cael has done to that program. These are not olympic trials, they are basically wrestle offs. I'm not knocking it, I'm just amazed.

I think the hate for Brooks, a 4 time NCAA champ whom NO ONE has had an answer for. Who just mowed thru the challenge tourney and then mowed thru the returning Olympic and world champ. The best pound for pound... I don't think the hate has to do with his wrestling

This is a huge relief for Yazdani as he doesn't need to compete with Taylor n get beaten again. It would have been frustrating. If encounters Brook, Yazdani will have a better chance of winning, I believe.

@@WhosWatchingWhat i believe also that the Dagestani wrestler who will represent Bahrain in the Olympics Akhmed Tazhudinov who was at the wrestling school of Abdulrashid Sadulaev would be extremly Successful in MMA so does Kyle Snyder and Hasan Yazdani would do great in MMA and the Great Mijain Lopez would have done great in MMA if he was in the UFC like in 2004 till now he would have been the greatest heavyweight ever and also guys who are not in wrestling but would do great in MMA like DK Metcalf , Myles Garret , Nick Bosa , Chase Young , Micah Parsons and Will Anderson Jr and i believe that Zion Williamson would have been a great Boxer

Brooks will not medal. Between the Zahid & Taylor 3 combined matches he took 1 legit shot. Only American refs pretend like pushing is some how "activity". Zahid getting put on a passivity clock is the absolute most laughable thing in wrestling. He won't have refs on his side and a teammate he's wrestled 500 times to get him. Screen shot this. Brooks is going 0-2 at the Olympics. Nobody, since 1970, thinks hard snaps are "activity".

Ufc is the only paid league to profit fighting and then their paid leagues that promote prizes if you win. There isn't much market for it is all I'm saying and mostly things was more tough to survey

Make sure the guys are being surveyed when tested Penn state has 5k friends and all wrestlers all mostly look lile haven't been through a physical through a real agency. If guys can't pass physical screening and surely have injested any form of pdf they may not wrestle. Women's wrestling is making the numbers exceed maximum just with kids too many people and no profits

Yazdani vs Brooks; the next major rivals of the wrestling world. I think it will be in favor of the US wrestling team to send Tylor to Paris Olympics because he knows how to defeat Yazdani.

Most PSU fans were, but didn't necessarily want to see Taylor out yet. Taylor, at 33, was all in on Gold again. At 37, it isn't as realistic. He most likely won't return or really compete for the next one. The thing he needs to ask himself is if 34 is a solid year for him to possibly go out on. Or if maybe retirement is a possibility and coaching is next. But that weighs heavy...most wanted this to be his last Olympic shot, and cheer Aaron from there. Thing is, time is limited for everyone. 4 years is 4 years. Who knows with Aaron Brooks? He could go win this, and then weigh his options. He could probably be a dominant MMA fighter with the athleticism, strength, endurance, and world class wrestling base. He is custom built for it frankly. So, he may have this shot and no more depending on whether wrestling is his career or he pivots. He had no time to stay in any shadows if he didn't have to.
