Like she said if she wasn't emotionally involved with Fitz she wouldnt have done it. When his dad died remember she came out to check on him and he was saying that he wants to be president and so that's what made her do it.

@@faithwatkins7811 Being emotional doesn’t make you unscrupulous unless you already are! My theory: Olivia is a gladiator! She’s been in the arena before and survived it to rise to the top. She would have maintained her belief in Fitz as a candidate and as a man that she loved. The connivers were already coming up with other schemes before she said yes. Painful, but it seems that she began to doubt and so that’s why she did it. Realization. Cue ugly cry. 😭

This is my number one favorite scene in the entire series. Second favorite, when Cyrus and Sallie argue in the Oval office after Fitz was shot.

Man. She went against everything she believed in. As Oprah says, "the ugly cry" proved it. I felt for her in this scene. She loves Fitz so much, but his dad's behavior made her go this way.

I hate this as it almost killed Olivia but remembering how nasty Fitzs dad is; I can see why Liv said yes.this scene almost killed me to watch so I can imagine how she felt

How about if Olivia would've discussed with Fitz what the fast five discussed about the rigging things would have been different. He was mad at her because she went along with the rest of them so it looked like she was using him to get into the white house like everybody else was doing.

Olivia Pope could have come up with the necessary votes but clearly guts were outta commison.

Nope like she told him in the beginning he had a dead marriage and thats why he was losing. That's not something you can change overnight and hide.
