Some people saying ole is not the right man are stupid, he cant change things overnight. He inherited a very average squad, ed woodward is to blame because of the very poor recruitment and no director of football. Imagine if liverpool sacked kloop after the first season lmao. You need to give a manager time to change things. Ole hasn't even brought in the players he wants yet and hasn't gone through pre season. Too early to judge him. Let's see if the club backs and see how he does in the next two seasons then we can critique him but right now it's too early.

Ricardo Marques klopp inherited a far far worse squad that never finished 2nd the year before and still managed to get to two finals and show huge progress despite him taking over in Oct. no excuses. Ole biggest win as a Utd manager came vs a poor Arsenal side in the fa cup n a VaR win vs PSG but in reality should be been out if PSG finished their chances. Ricardo Marques the obsession with a director of football all of a sudden makes me laugh coz that's not the reason UTD are where they are. The players are not good enough and they are not working hard enough. Tiki the City DoF signed duds before Pep got there , players like Mangala, Demichelis, Negredo etc n he still wanted to sign Alexis & Fred who UTD managed to sign, that goes to show with a director of football in place you can still fail, if the players are not what the manager wants. Getting a director of football doesn't mean you get to sign quality players who will work for your team.

I prefer losing with Ole's honesty and positive attitude rather than Jose's "it's everyone else's fault" attitude. Keep up the work Ole. In Ole We Trust.

When I saw this, tears started rolling down my cheeks, these two transformed into those boys that I saw on television in 99 and followed throughout the 90's and 2000's.....wish they never grew old or retired...

In terms of the interview, this is a great interview in terms of knowing what ole’s goals for the future in terms of competing with city and Liverpool in terms of winning the tittle and in terms of playing man utd way in terms of fast build up and quality defending.

ole comes across as genuine and passionate about managing utd, it is sad that the players let him down and the fans and just pick up there hefty wedge, without caring

It took Klopp 4 years to build a team that I can say deserves to take the title. Give Solskjaer few years and transfer windows. I know next season will be the best for United after 2013 but before that they need to get rid of some dead wood. I would not name any group of players but there are some dead woods that needs to be benched or replaced.

Every united are not expecting the team to lift trophies as rebuilding require time and we know that. We just wana see heart and absolute effort to work hard and try everything to win. The way we Lost against Everton 4-0 i is what infuriate all the fans; no guts, no desire,no fight , no reaction and no passion. Just all pre match bullcrap talk but when time comes to grind, nobody showed up.

As a scouser and a die hard Liverpool fan, I actually quite admire these two guys and think that most of what they say makes a lot of sense. Something must be wrong with me. I need help.

With his Skandinavian attitude, I hope Ole could bring Man Utd more humble and honest. Ole must build his own legacy in Man Utd, Sir Alex would like that. In order to go up we hv to be at the bottom. Appreciate Gary and the Man Utd alumni, we are family and family support one another.

Ole is a likeable guy, I hope he gets the time and money to make a difference. Too many players in the squad aren't good enough or respect the club enough.

Ole doesn't slag off individual players like mourinho did. Yes he has the same problems as mourinho but as a United manager they're different ways to deal with it or handle it. And you don't pick out players . The team as a collective yes you say standards or performances have dropped and even ole took some responsibility but never single out players. Behind closed doors whatever but in the public eye never. Manchester United have standards all through the club that have been lost. But ole knows what it takes to be a United manager. He knows the standards and his leading by example..... Proud of you ole

I just love that Ole is our new manager. He is the true heir of Ferguson in many ways, I just hope he can prove to be as good tactical as SAF was, which he has surely shown that in a few matches that he can be. What he needs is time, which is not easy to get in these modern eras of football. But lets say we give him time, and he fails, he would certainly have build a squad with love for the club and strong morals. I'd say, give him atleast 3-4 seasons to prove that he can be that one man, who really wants to take the club forward. I just really hope he succeed, because if he does, he could be our new manager for the next 25 years. He would not want to go to Real Madrid(etc), and he certainly would not make a fuzz about his salary not being "high enough". Ole is a guy that always has MUFC's needs infront of his own, and I think that, if given enough time(like Fergie got), could make our beloved club as great as it once was. I've thaught several times, that I hope that Mourinho gets sacked before Pogba. But in this particular instance, I'd say lets sell both Pogba, De Gea, Martial, Lukaku etc, if needed, before concidering sacking Ole, who has both his soul, and his hart, in Manchester United Football Club.

When they had the new manager bounce Ole was giving all the players the praise & looking for none for himself, everyone commended his humility & were comparing it to how much better it was than hearing Jose praising himself for wins so to start blaming him now that it's not going so well would be hypocritical

@Brant Hall I had no illusions about this squad. I regretted we had to lose one of the greatest managers of all time because of some of these bums. Ole will have the opportunities to make good signings because Man United will always be a draw no matter who is in the manager's seat. It's not all about signings though, there needs to be a hell of a lot of coaching & changing of attitudes amongst this current crop who survive the Summer window too. Ole has an extremely busy & demanding Summer ahead. He should be judged from next season on, he's entitled to at least a Summer like any other manager.

Love you Ole....get rid of the deadwood and bring the youth thru with a few first class signings and we will be back to our best.

As a Liverpool fan I enjoy seeing United struggle. That said the problems at United in many ways mirror what Liverpool had under the Gillette and Hicks ownership. In a nutshell, a bunch of owners lacking ambition, poor recruitment and a general complacency. Plus the general arrogance that name of Manchester United is enough for players to want to come to play there. We had it too. These days it's as much about the project and the manager as the club's history. The likes of Van Dijk and Alisson came to the club because they believed in Klopp's vision. You've already sacked 3 managers. 2 of whom had serious pedigree. In the last 4 years you've won 2 trophies but there isn't a stable spine of players in that team. A huge disparity is there between some of the player's ability and their wages. I remember Luke Shaw being paid 100k a week at the age of 18 to join United. One way to go about it would be to sell Pogba and De Gea as they are the 2 most marketable assets in the team and the best way of generating funds for transfers. Plus that takes a huge amount off your wage bill. Needless to say the likes of Sanchez, Young and Jones have to go. The De Gea situation is simple. If he's willing to commit to United then give him his contract. If not, sell him while he has value. If Madrid are willing to offer 140 million for Pogba you'd be mad not to take it since he has had a good few months at United in the best of times. We lost Coutinho who was arguably one of our best players and we are much much stronger for it. He'll probably need 2-3 years to get this team to challenge for the title.

Strong points mate. Especially about Coutinho, LFC are a stronger team unit, I mean the game is played with 11 players, not 1. When Chelsea lean on Hazard and United lean on Pogba they are only holding themselves back. Here's hoping for a United draw!

I also think that De Gea and Pogba are not the be all and end all for United. I would like to see changes that could make United some good money and then spend and invest in some younger lads that are hungry as hell for success! Pogba is so inconsistent that he looks average more times than less, and as I see it many players could fill his role with more success than him. Having a consistent good midfielder is more important than having a word class player that isn't consistent. If Pogba shows more consistency then his definitly a keeper, but maybe it's time to let him go?

The most annoying thing is the slow pedestrian way the club goes about signings, contract negotiations with existing players and so on. We're not top dogs off the pitch anymore. That needs to change if our performance on the pitch is to change. The board need to be fucked off because all they are good at doing is raking in more sponsorship and money for the owners to take out of the club. Woodward can't bare to give the reigns to someone else or actually get in a director of football so he should be gone

its not about quality of players its about work ethic if players don want to play hard and to represent the badge get him out young didnt have the best performance thats true but on a position that isnt his own (rb) but he gave 100%

The first game of next season will tell me all that I need to know. When I said we were in for a very long season after the game against Leicester City, a game that even though we won they had us pinned back in our final 3rd for 0ver 60% of the game. Everyone said I was being negative after a win. No one wanted to acknowledge the fact that we had just been pinned back in our own half for 60% of the game by at best a mid-table team in the first game of the season at Old Trafford. What I have seen of Solskjaer so far mirrors Moyes, LVG, and Mourinho in the sense that one when a "starting" players is out they all tend to reshuffle the entire team to accommodate that loss. Case in point, the Everton game. Instead of having one problem due to the absence of Shaw he made it three. Moved our best centerback to right fullback, moved the under study right fullback to left fullback, and brings in calamity Jones as the centerback. You know who won't do that? Pep, Klopp, and Poch. How many times this season has Poch played that Walker-Peters kid at right back when he didn't have the service of both Trippier and Aurier? He never moved Vertonghen, Alderweireld, or Sanchez there unless the situation arises during the game.

Man United fan or not you gotta love Ole, he seems like a genuinely nice guy.

As a norwegian guy from Molde i know he has multiple personalties, he's a good guy but extremelly cynical, he protected a rapist for his former club molde and sent him to russia. Also when he came to molde fc he cleaned a room in the stadium and made it just as Sir alex ferguson's office room.

Either way it's gonna hurt ..I want us to beat city even.if it gives Liverpool the chance to win the league ..at the end of the day we won't win the league for Liverpool they (if they do) won the league themselves it's a horrible situation but I want top 4 so we can rebuild and put man city and Liverpool in this situation in the future

How far we have come since that day, Manchester United are in title race after 8 years now

One thing that is evident from all the successful teams of the past is unity. If we see the tiki-taka-barca squad, they had pedro, xavi, iniesta, messi, pique, puyol, fagregas and busquets playing together since they were 8 or 9 years old. Eating, sleeping, studying enjoying doing everything together. That builds understanding and trust between individuals. If we see the man utd team of sir alex, class of 92 comes into mind. Giggs, Scholes, Becks, Neville brothers and Nicky Butt. If we see the great Ajax team of the 90s same thing. Bergkamp, Kluivert, Frank and Ronald De Boer, Overmars, Reiziger, Van der Sar, Edgar Davids, Seedorf all coming through the Ajax academy. Even the Ajax team of the 70s and 80s with Cruyff, Van Basten and Rijkard. I hope Ole builds that kind of a team where players love each other and enjoy each others success more than their own.

Ole is just s different class, he is a legend in the club. He need time to build. He knows what the club want, the fans want, the players want, so give him time.

Im a City fan, but I can guarantee United are in good hands with Ole👌
