Ole Glory Concrete Desktop feat. Eddie Arcuri Cowboy Hollywood

It only makes sense that as a concrete additive/premix manufacturer we should have concrete desks. Here's Old Glory. Before you attack us for not replicating it perfectly - you need to know that was never our goal. I wanted a ragged and rough look to it. It's meant to be an interpretation of the US flag. Due to the shape of the desktop, we decided to leave off the bottom 2 stripes to keep the rest proportional to the flag's actual dimensions. Some also, may consider this to be backwards, in respect to how the flag is normally displayed and you are correct. However, if you look at how the flag is worn on a military uniform you'll see that it "flies" from the front of the shoulder to the back. As a veteran, I preferred my desk to be done in this manner. This project was made with our GFRC premix ( just add glass fiber and water). The Blue field was loosely hand packed to leave voids for the "stars". The mix for the red stripes was made more pourable with a little bit more water, but not enough for it to flow and self-level. The white was our GFRC SCC premix and was poured to fill the white lines as well as provide a level backer coat. After demolding a white slurry was applied to fill in any gaps in the blue - representing stars, and even some spots in the red, making it look more worn and threadbare. This was sealed with 2 coats of our Stampshield sealer.
