you can only craft steel balls for the pump rifle on the go, you need a workbench if you're using any other ammo type (which you will be considering the pumpy air rifle takes up its own slot)

I played through all of Metro Exodus on a PS4 slim and I never had an issue with input lag or audio. Its was a great experience for me personally.

Gaming companies have been underestimating the importance of good sound mixing and design for a good two console generations.

@@ThePreciseClimber Oh, that, yeah. I'm speaking from a surround sound standpoint and how many games both large and small often have really bad....i don't know...tracking? Really kills immersion. Edit: also, in Final Fantasy XV, last I checked, nobody could hear Ardyns monologue over Noctis' grunting at the end of Chapter 13.

Due to upcoming shut down of "Blacklight: Retribution" and "Orcs Must Die! Unchained", I want to spread this message: "Stop killing online games. Give us server creation tools, so we could play them on our own"

While I appreciate the sentiment, the reason server creation tools likely don't get released is because if the servers are shuting down, the devs likely don't have a budget to do a final patch and create and release server creation tools, assuming such tools would be practical to create in the first place. At that point, they're cutting their losses and either moving onto greener pastures, new projects or shutting the studio down with it.

Though it would be absolutely laggy and less playable online, one option they have is to patch the game to make it peer-to-peer online, instead of the dedicated server they're shutting down. In all likelihood, a patch like that probably costs too much, but it allows some games to remain playable online to this day, such as Armored Core 4.

5 hours is enough for me for a review. If a game can’t get me invested within 5 hours of play, I’d be putting it down anyways.

Arkham Knight's framerate is way more unstable. That framerate flies all over the place on ridiculously powerful pc's.

I love Metro Exodus. It's such an amazing game. I had no issues on my PS4 Pro so it's strange it went so badly for you. Im on my second run and absolutely am engrossed in it's world and story.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I absolutely think 5 hours is more than enough time to decide how feel about a game, espec when it comes with a review this thorough! Damn, dude, this was an awesome review, just like all your other reviews of games you didn't like (and did, but YKWIM, lol)! Incredible job! I'm not one for first person games (I have eye and ear issues that make first person games make me sick, lol), but I'm glad you almost had fun! Hope the next Metro game is better for you! :D

Having played this now in 2021, all these issues are sorted save for a few bugs on PS4... I’m glad i played this after it was all sorted, I wish I could say the same for Cyberpunk

It’s a great game, but some of the creature redesigns and story elements really don’t sit well with me tbh, especially the Nosalis that lacks a winged female version and looks like Tapirs that hit the Gym instead of giant mutant nightmare shrews Also the dynamic theme worked for me and I’m loving it on PS4, and tbh I’ve never had an issue, besides my PC I accidentally bricked by coding so yea, gotta love it

I’m late to the party, but I think the audio issues @8:06 are because on the pc version, it has dynamic fluid audio, where if a dude is speaking and is on ur right side, his voice is going to be louder in the right headphone then the left, ect.

Thumbs up just for using a soundtrack piece from Sonic Freaking Heros during the review. I felt so nostalgic. Thanks Caddy, you rock!

Well, but my only bug (right in the beginning) was a little gamebreaker :'D anna didn't move after i shot the huge group of telepaths near the trainbridge on the surface...

Ps4 version ran well for me too. Only a little texture issue with the high res stuff not loading immediately every once in a while. Past that, I had a blast.

Only glitch that I suffered involved a Shrimp and the Tsar-Fish. I have it saved on my PS4's Capture Gallery, along with a couple of videos of other strangeness in Ghost Recon: Wildlands.

Hey Caddy. I bought this game digital on the ps4 and had no issues. That being said I totally agree with you about the game overall about watering down of what made the other games great. Awesome video

Yea, the previous Metro games were bad when it came to stock sounds. Though the melee sound effects I have to say, were better in 2033 and last light than in Exodus.

Cool a new video from Caddy, neat

Hey Caddy, I've heard that doing this fixes the input lag issue. Not sure myself, I don't have the game. Set controls to Preset 2, then bump up the sensitivity. This doesn't make you turn faster but fixes the input lag, deadzone, and acceleration. If you see this let me know if it works!

The middle finger guy is Dominic Noble, book reviewer and I think that move was from a 50 Shades review.

Playing it on ps4 and havent had any problems myself. Not sure what went down to cause that many problems.

Just so you know once you reach the desert there is a game breaking bug. Do a manual save when you get the quest for finding water, do no override until you're inside the caves.

I played the pc version, and can say i never experienced any of those bugs. Actually i can't remember any bugs major or not. I loved it through and through. And the final 2 chapters are classic metro

Thank you for covering this game caddy. These games are all fantastic (aside from the epic games exclusivity fiasco) I love these games so much and like you said early on its a shame that they arent more mainstream. Although im upset to hear it didnt work well for you on ps4 I just beat it today and loved it my only real issue with my playthrough was it had really poor load times.

They just released a patch that fixes the input lag issue.

Definitely appreciate the review and honesty. I played both of the previous Metro games to death and while I did enjoy Exodus (On the PC, not touching console at all) it definitely falls short to its predecessors. The story was at least pretty good, though yeah the motivations in the beginning are a little weird.

Same, I had constant frame rates of 30fps, some drops on the aurora but not too bad, combat was smooth, no glitches, no game breaking bugs, and I'm playing on the base PS4 I don't know how people have these problems? I mean I even pre ordered mass effect Andromeda and I had little to no bugs, like just basic bugs lags here and there but game breaking, it's so trippy to hear people get a shitty experience

@@sinfulreaper5025 Very rarely have I had any noticeable lag. Even the key for the background worked. There was some licensing issue that needed fixing, but it's now up available on my PS4. Could it be a Pro problem?

Same I have no idea what Cad is going on about. I have experienced some bugs, and the loading screens are ridiculous sometimes when you reload a save file, but the game never broke for me.
