We really enjoy the 100 proof rye and bourbon from Forester, not to mention 1910 and 1920 which are outstanding! We just added 3 more of their offerings to our store including the B.I.B and Kingsman!

One of my favorites of the year. So good!

Love this one Matt. Our bottle is a G3 at 127.8 IIRC and it’s similar in profile to yours except without the cinnamon or apple cider vinegar and with the addition of a very creamy vanilla buttercream frosting. One of our favorites of the year, like an 8.7 or so. Old Fo needs to crank up the production on these already.

Love it! Definitely on my list to pick up! Yum! 😋

Old Forester is my PAJAMA JAMMY JAM right now... 1910 (Cherries & Chocolate) , 1920 (FREAKIN' YUMMY), BinB (Best on the Market)... can't get enough!!

Great stuff Matt! And since this is a single barrel, who knows, another bottle could score even higher! I hope to find a bottle of this someday without having to sell my spleen.

On my personal bottle I get really strong Circus Peanuts candy/Lucky Charms marshmallow flavor. It is one of my favorite whiskeys and gets a 9.2/10 from me. That being said, these are single barrel offerings and so that might explain the difference in our scores. Great video!

I have one. I dig it. Glad I have it. Hope y’all that want one can find one too. Now, where might I discover a Coy Hill or Parker’s heritage?

I love OF Rye and I want this sooooooo bad. Sam's canned chicken is pretty good, too. Chicken tacos... Chicken pot pie... Chicken salad... Chicken alfredo... Chicken dumplings

I think you almost got like a bananas foster thing kinda goin on in the taste, but since you brought up chocolate I can see that like a heath bar or something where it's kind of buttery on the inside but you still get that caramel. And I did manage to get a bottle of the same barrel which is pretty darn good.

Funniest review to date. 3 lols on the nose, then tears when you actually tasted it. And WANT. Love me a good, out there cask strength rye.

Got a 132 proof bourbon OF sib in Ky for $99, was happy to find. Then I go to Florida and see this rye one on sale...for 400. Come on man!

Thanks Matt. I am one who cries out for Rye! Proof is a bit high for my taste though...yet yum.

This appeals greatly to me but the review leaves me with so many questions. Is this a limited release or is it going to be widely available? How much is the suggested retail price? Is this the same mash bill as their 100 proof rye? Any age statement? I love trying to guess your score before you announce it. Was expecting an 8.3 but 8.0 ain't bad.

Per their website it will be available nationwide though “extremely limited.” Here in Virginia it retails for $79.99. Same mash bill. No age statement that I know of.

I bet if you went back in retrospect now this will score higher, like a comic book you got graded by cgc back in 1990 and took it out of its plastic coffin and resubmitted it like a Michael Jordan shoe that didn't get enough praise the first time, or a star wars figure on card that you didn't know had a telescoping saber. This is telescoping saber obi wan. Find a K-7, accept no substitutes, or just hit me up for a sample.

Canned chicken makes the best chicken salad! That said, if someone goes to Sam's club or Costco and buys the five gallon tub of Hellmann''s mayonnaise, unless you run an orphanage, you should really re-evaluate your life choices. And the toilet paper...people buy that giant pallet of toilet paper and strap it to the roof of their care like the rack of brontosaurus ribs in the Flintstones' intro. If you need that much toilet paper, and you're not running said orphanage, you really need to see a doctor.
