Pet Ritz Pie Crust!! Ive been using that since 1980. It comes already lined in a foil pie pan package of two. You can get regular or deep dish. I like that the one you used seems to have enough dough that you can pull extra over the edge and crimp it. I will try to look for Pillsbury in the roll at Sam's or Costco's or BJ's. Thanks for that.
Tammy and (Chris) Mr. Camera Man, I love your home. I think it is beautiful! I love coconut anything, your pie looked so tasty. Please pray for my daughter she is now taking chemo. Christal has colon cancer. My husband passed away with it 4 years ago. They say it can run in the family, well we know it for sure. I take her to Lubbock for staging Tuesday. Pray for her that they find it staying where it started. God bless your family, may they stay healthy.

I turned 72 last Wednesday. I finally found the best recipe for cornbread after all these years from you. Thank you Tammy fo teaching this old dog a new trick.
Have you ever made a coconut pie that makes it own crust. Delicious!!!!
The kitchen remodel is just beautiful ❤ The lighting and sound is great quality
I love this pie but I think I’ll try to make the “Impossible Pie" version. You should introduce your audience to "impossible pies" because there’s a whole generation out there that doesn’t know about the magic of these pies! They’re so easy, quick & delicious. The best part is being able to make a pie without a crust.

@teachermarikitkat - Google impossible coconut custard pie. It will come up. Betty Crocker website has lots of impossible pies. Maybe our girl Tammy will make some of them for us.
I made this pie a month ago. It was a big hit! That's why Im making it for Thanksgiving tomorrow! Its so easy, too! Thanks!

Hi Tammy & Chris! The kitchen looks great! Sound quality is good, too! Both my grandmothers and my mother called this French Coconut pie. To serve my crew this pie, we either make about 3 pies at a time or sometimes use a half-sheet pan and make a "slab pie'. Either way, we have enjoyed this recipe countless times! You know with my crew, there are never any leftovers! Thanks for the demo of another recipe, y'all!
My grandma would make egg custard, chocolate custard and coconut custard. All were so good.
Custards were my fathers favorite, my husband used to fix the equipment at an egg farm and would come home with 2 flats of eggs every time he went, some times a few times a week, I used to make a ton of custard pies. I miss those eggs, most were double yolkers.
l did it in the microwave, & came out better than the oven.
Oh I love what you did in the house with your kitchen. You guys did such a great job, it looks great. Congrats and good luck with it.🤩
You make your pie crust look so much better than I can, although mine isn't a total crash and burn. And yes, it was Pet Ritz . Does anyone remember the frozen Ritz pies in the freezer section? They were great for a quick dessert.
Tammy & Chris, your production quality (new kitchen, remote microphone) is getting better all the time. Enjoyable rating is now 5 stars! Great recipes and a great couple! Thanks.
Chris, I hope your time with your dad /parents, was nice, & has a successful recovery! Prayers for them! And you & Tammy! 🙏🙏🙏🙏. Tammy, I’m so happy for you to have this new kitchen!! You look perfect in it! 😁. Hope y’all’s chickens do well as we approach cooler temps! Love you both! Deb. ❤
That looks delicious, I could almost taste it through the screen. I'm wondering if you could add some chocolate chips to it and make a "Mounds" custard pie?

I was late getting that recipe…only got it about 5 years ago and had made it once at my cousins house when she gave the recipe, a couple of months ago I made it again, then I started wondering if I could use well drained pineapple instead of coconut so I tried it and it worked. Next I’m going to use canned cherries.

Impossible coconut custard pie. INGREDIENTS 4 eggs 1 ¼ cups sugar ½ cup flour ¼ cup butter melted 1 tablespoon vanilla ½ teaspoon salt 2 cups milk 1 ¼ cups shredded sweetened coconut INSTRUCTIONS Preheat oven to 350℉ and grease a 9-inch pie plate. Beat the eggs in a large bowl. Add the sugar, flour, melted butter, vanilla and salt. Whisk until combined. Add the milk and then the coconut. Stir until combined then pour into the prepared pie plate. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick pressed into the center of the pie comes out clean. Let cool on a wire rack for at least an hour to set up. Serve warm with whipped topping, if desired.
Wow, I've all but forgotten about this pie. Thank you for showing all the tricks to making Daddy's Pie.
Your kitchen is so beautiful. Even the handles look perfect 🥰. Lol went downstairs to see if I had the 3rd cookbook. Put coconut on my shopping list 😊
Hooray, its finished!😃🎉🎈👍 I know you're going to love it! Can't wait for another delicious something from your new, beautiful kitchen! 😉
Tammy, please read your Oven Manual, and see is it is safe to line the bottom of your oven with foil. The last three ovens I have bought for remolding my kitchens have all said NO FOIL. If you look back at this video you will see your foils, trying to breath. I just don’t want you to ruin your Cadillac oven. Please take my ADVISE. READ THE MANUAL TO MAKE SURE IT IS OK.!

If the heating element is under the metal base, the foil is a big NO NO. I argued with my mother about this for about 6 months until her oven started heating uneven then broke within a year.

Note: Never place aluminum foil on the bottom of your oven to catch spills. The foil disrupts the oven's air flow and heat pattern, resulting in uneven cooking. Cleanup is so easy with the tips below that foil is completely unnecessary.
Beautiful and functional kitchen! Love everything about it!💯
Download try that that looked really really easy to make that coconut pie.
Oh Tammy, that looks awesome!! Your kitchen is gorgeous.

That looks delicious but I'm afraid I would eat the whole pie by myself. Yet I'm going to chance it maybe tomorrow. My Aunt makes this for my Daddy and she puts pineapple in it instead of coconut. Either way I know it will be so good.
Looks good. I love coconut. Hope you have a nice weekend you 2.

The pie looked delicious. That is my husband’s favorite pie. I could never find the recipe that his mom made but this I think may be the one. The other recipes that I tried just had to much sugar.
Hey guy's, the pie looks good and the new kitchen looks great. 👌
In my opinion more people today are more likely to have yogurt in their frig than buttermilk ..... great substitute in a 1/1 ratio
Oven temp? Bake time? Please include this info in future videos, but this looks amazing anyway. Good looking pie and I just love coconut custard. Yummy!

Pie looks yummy good and pretty! Love the finished kitchen and love, love seeing the puppy dogs walking around.😊
Looks yummy. I've seen other recipes that use coconut milk or sweetened condensed coconut milk instead of regular milk, so maybe Ill try a combo of buttermilk and coconut milk.
My Daddy loved coconut cake. His favorite!
I was always told heat reflecting off foil causes more heat and if you want a liner in the oven you should use silicone. I put my pies on a bake sheet in case they run over. So much easier to get out of the oven too. I am such a clutz with small hit things😀I just read about foil no no in oven. I say no to foil too.
Glad to see you cooking in your new kitchen. Good luck Tammy
Yummy , I put coconut in some of my sweet potato pies, coconut pie and coconut cake are my Favorite. Thanks for going back and sharing recipes from your first cookbook!!!!❤😊🙏🏻 Ms Ruby

I love her recipes! Your kitchen is beautiful and I’m sure it has all your needed amenities.
Delicious custard 🍮
Beautiful pie. I'd try hot fudge sauce on a piece. Heavenly.
After making a batch of butter, I have buttermilk and not the kind from the store which would be cultured. Would that change the taste of my pie or have you ever used real homemade buttermilk? Thank you for your time and happy holidays to you and Kritter.
