Old Cypress Adventure in The Green Swamp Wilderness Preserve
Let's take a hike into the Green Swamp Wilderness Preserve to an ancient Cypress Tree still standing along the banks of the Withlacoochee River. At one time this river and wilderness was covered with old growth Cypress trees until the logging boom during the 1800's and early 1900's. Many of the trees were cut down during those times and they were hundred and thousands of years old. If you look throughout the swamps here you can still see some old growth trees in this scenic wilderness. I took a hike down a logging tram towards the Withlacoochee River and then walked the banks for awhile checking out some of the trees and surrounding wilderness. It's a vast place to explore so I always enjoy coming out here. Thank you for watching and enjoy the video, I'll see you in the wilderness!

Green Swamp is a gorgeous place for sure with some sketchy Jeep trails lol
Beautiful video Love when you filmed the light inside the giant cypress tree. Thoughts of how old it might be and animals that have used it for refuge. Floridas so full of interesting off the beaten path places for hiking. Hope you have a safe and happy July fourth weekend.

After reading everything I can find on the green swamp "wild man" that area sure fits the description of where he was found. What area of green swamp is this? Great vids pal keep it up.
That is a big hollow tree....any sign off Keebler elf activity?
What do you do for insect protection? I have been doing a lot of hiking in florida the past two weeks and have been getting destroyed
