Yeah. I still get messed up when you have to roll under a block, while on a moving platform, but the level is pretty easy.

Sadly no. It's a comparison between 2 remasters that released this year. Sonic Colors Ultimate vs Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. It might seem like there's no contest, but there is a lot to talk about with the games.

11:10 Actually, you're intended to charge a spindash and then cancel it by jumping. Nice video. In retrospect, a "Don't hit badniks and don't let badniks hit you" challenge would be better for SRB2.

I love the 3D models in this game. Really gives the game a Sega Saturn look which is a thumbs up from me.

Thank you for doing the challenge with this fangame. I enjoy playing it a lot, so nice to see it! A few things: 1. I think you made the right call for not getting the emeralds. You don't even get to use them in the boss battles, and yeah. 2. Controllers/Simple Mode isn't the main way to play SRB2, and is built for a keyboard and mouse. At least it got some extra challenges for you, though. 3. Probably a little too late now, but maybe the unlockable Bonus and Challenge stages would be a good fit for the challenge. 4. Too much 2D? Out of that one section? There was an SRB1 Remake which was cut from 2.2. You can find it as an unlockable in 2.1. IIt's basically all the levels from the old SRB1. Overall, great work. I can't want to see where this series goes!

They charge in one direction and don't get in the way much, so it's not really worth the trouble of deciding whether it counts or not. By instinct, I avoid it anyways.

Friendly reminder that the HUD used in SRB2 is also the one used in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 because it's in italics.

If unofficial Sonic games are fair game then Triple Trouble 16-Bit and Fallen Star could’ve been fun ones imo.

@@GottaBeFrank Oh ok, I still wanted to point that out. Also I am doing an updated pacifist run where not a single Badnik can die (even if it is from a hazard). The furthest I got so far was Egg Rock Zone Act 2, where my run ended because of a Snailer literally killing another Badnik for no reason. Oh by the way, your Sonic 3 & Knuckles pacifist videos are outdated, since the Iwamodoki explosions do count as player kills (since they fixed the points glitch in the Sonic Origins version of the game, meaning it was always intended for the Iwamodoki explosions to count as player kills (which is weird, since the Bombs and Asterons do not count as player kills when they explode)). Oh and also, are you planning on doing a video about not defeating a Badnik in Sonic Superstars when the game comes out?

The remasters/remakes usually have some small differences, when compared to the originals. Like how I couldn't screen wrap in Sonic 2 and how the Slicer was near the end, but not in the original. The video isn't outdated. It just uses the original release, rather than the new one that makes revisions and isn't as accurate, but that last bit is a whole different discussion. As for WITHOUT Defeating a Badnik videos? I'm not sure. I'm having a great time making the Mega Man content and seeing interest in it growing. Lately, the Badnik videos haven't seen as much interest as they used to. From viewers and from myself. It wouldn't hurt to try one more to see if I am able to enjoy them or if they should just stay in the channel's past.

@@GottaBeFrank Well the issue I saw was the fact that the Iwamodokis do technically drop points (since the points are shown after they explode), but they do not get added to the score counter. It is very likely that them being added to the score counter in the Sonic Origins version was likely a bug fix or something. Yeah I think trying the challenge again with Sonic Superstars is a great idea, mainly due to it being an upcoming game. I will be trying to do the game pacifist as well. Also Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (8-bit) is 100% impossible to do pacifist, not because of it sucking but mainly cause the forced Mecha Hiyoko murders during the Hiyoko Master fight (the same issue is also present in Sonic Chaos as well, this time with the Sphere-o-Bot boss).

Might be a great idea, but I can't really bring myself to do it again. I'd rather slowly get back into playing Sonic on my own terms, or else I'll be miserable playing it. The Mega Man videos have been great, so far, and I'd like to keep going with it.

11:12 You can actually just hold shift and then once you have gotten past you press space to jump or whatever you use to jump and boom way easier then trying to do that

The jousting robots can be destroyed as by your rules they aren’t badniks with the 1 hit rule

The emeralds are not though, just the last one that requires a little trick And "dusty wasteland" fuck that one in particular

Badniks are so out of the way in this game, a no badnik-killing run is pretty much just a vanilla run.

Fun fact: Stupid Dumb Unnamed RoboFish is an actual name of the badnik (source - Zone Builer, a tool to make stages) Also, what about 7 bonus stages (Frozen Hillside, Pipe Towers, Forest Fortress, Techno Legacy, Haunted Heights, Aerial Garden and Azure Temple)?

I've beaten aerial garden and it's not happening. the bees are far too aggressive and they appear far too often for it to happen. Maybe I will take a crack at the others in a bonus video of some kind, but I'll save it for another time.

You know what kind of enemies are the worst in sonic games? The ones you can’t defeat even in a normal play through… such as a cactus… like the one at 6:50 😂 Edit: jokes aside, serious question time. How are you supposed to use that conveyer mechanism thingy if the cactus is in the way? Do you have to jump around it and hopefully not fall into the pit below? P.S I never played this game, only watched small portions of videos on this game 😅, and those clips I watched were clips of tails game play, and so this cactus never showed up
