Old Bonegrinder was an intense reveal for our group. In my campaign I made the witches pastries extremely addictive. You couldn't have a long rest because in Barovia everyone has nightmares. But the pastries were the one thing that allowed you to have a long rest. But they became more and more addictive as the game went on, affecting players stats. Here, the players found out they had been eating children all along. Horrific! Traumatizing? They were shocked.
