The engineers are certainly doing an impressive job, yet we should bear in mind that a higher number of integrated components can lead to increased replacement costs and maintenance expenses. If even one component fails, it necessitates replacing the entire subassembly, rendering the bike non-functional until then. It's important to address repairability and component replacement ease in the video, and we should also eventually tackle the concept of "right to repair." The Olav team of engineers undeniably invested significant time, energy, and intelligence into enhancing the design. The video effectively elucidated the distinctions between the previous and new models, showcasing an admirable level of detail. I personally commend these endeavors and urge ongoing improvement, as this will ultimately set the product apart.Ultimately, these improvements will serve as the distinguishing factor by ensuring greater durability and a solid build quality.

2:30 centralised compute system is not a good idea though. Simple raspberryPI and python script can do it. In an electric vehicle many tasks like stoping the vehicle, indicator lights, battery management software are very critical. In case of centralised system small component failure can result in fatal accident or can block complete mobility of the vehicle.

No doubt the engineers are doing a great job but one thing to keep in mind is that the number of integrated components also translates to increased replacement costs and higher maintenance. If one component decides to fail, the complete sub assembly needs to be replaced till then the bike is not functional. The actual thing that was also to be discussed in this video was repairability and ease of replacement of components. Right to repair should also be considered but thats something we will have to address later
There needs to be a very good buyback/exchange offer for the Gen 1 owners. We trusted a new product, dealt with all initial phase issues, coped up with first gen niggles. That would be a great strategy for customer retention.

@@hardiksureliya18 i can tell you why they should give exchange. and keep your sarcastic jokes with you no one is encouraging those lame jokes. see let me explain I have ola s1 pro and soo many PPL brought gen 1 scooters . every other 2 wheeler manufacturers take your old vechile if you are ready to buy their vechile. if ola doesn't do same all gen 1 owners are stuck. even if they got money and intrest on upgrading to gen 2 thus reducing gen 2 sales. example i got money to buy gen 2 but it's useless to have 2 ola scooters for 1 person! its not must do thing but good if they atleast option. I said just "upgrade with exchange" its your little brain who took it as adding parts to old gen 1 and making it gen 2
If u are S1 pro gen 1 user , don't worry, the product at the launch is better then after generations , same is with maruti Swift , Jupiter,Honda Activa. With increase in generation bulit quality decrease but technology increase

Very nice ❤❤❤ Ola is doing great job…proud of you
2:30 centralised compute system is not a good idea though. Simple raspberryPI and python script can do it. In an electric vehicle many tasks like stoping the vehicle, indicator lights, battery management software are very critical. In case of centralised system small component failure can result in fatal accident or can block complete mobility of the vehicle.
Amazing presentation

One more thing to address was regarding d charging... once it's full 100 % it doesn't has any beep/ sound as such to know that it's done, bcz mst of d time person is busy doing other things n often forgets to remove d charging on time, so please do the needful n add beep / a sound button as a symbol of charging finished/ about too. Hopefully it wl hlp everyone, please do this updates please 🙏
Thanks to OLA to keeping the customers feedback in mind and improving the Grab handle and the Flat FootBoard.
If the number of components used has been reduced, maybe that leads to reduction in manufacturing costs and ultimately lesser selling price? 😅
You can add some small solar cells on the surface of scooter to charge the battery while in standing position
So so many reduction then what’s the percentage of reduction on mrp?
