I made this recipe last night (I substituted large shrimp and bay scallops for the fish and crab… the bay scallops were especially surprisingly tasty!) and I just wanted to thank you for this recipe, and your whole channel. I first started watching your videos a couple years ago when I wanted to learn to make Jollof for my then boyfriend. I learned to make it so well (thanks to your hints!) that are our wedding reception my new in-laws wouldn’t believe I had made it myself. What a feeling of pride to be able to welcome my husband’s family so well 😉 Thank you so much for giving me the confidence to be able to satisfy my husband’s cravings for west African deliciousness!! 💗✨💗

Ps, I used Belacon, a Malay-style fermented shrimp and it worked very well as a substitute for momoni

I have just finished. God bless you abundantly for your love for us 🙏🙏
since the beginning of the year been try make this dish my twist on it, then today I see this video, It like God is tell to make it , and see my Mother was Haitian and my Father was Cuban so you know I have little West Africa some where in my DNA lol and really love okra everyone who know me know that is my favorite dish .
cooked this for my grandmother who had a craving for this in the morning but i did not know the recipe. and she was unable to cook or give instructions, i made this and she said it taste like her mom would make it. later on that day my grandmother passed away in her sleep. so i’m glad i got to fill her belly before she went home.
Yes. Thank you thank you thank you. My ex-husband/kids father is West African. If I knew I was going to miss the food this much, I wouldn't have gotten a divorce. I'm going to make the soups myself. God Bless you 💓

Okro has great texture indeed abd Well spiced. I am coming Sis with my Pounded yam fufu dont worry i dont mind eating the fishes even in particles 😂😂😂 Welldone Ma ❤️❤️❤️🍾
Sister Nanaaba, thank you so much for your wonderful step-by-step videos. We all know that good cooking comes from the heart, and love for the art of cooking for your family. My husband really appreciates my cooking, and has officially accepted that I am African, although I am African American. If he only knew you are my teacher, who know's what he would say. LOL. I never would have learned authentic African cooking had it not been for your videos. Thank you so much!
I've watched this over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again! I'm making mine today as I've prepped all my ingredients in the kitchen. Yummy 😋 Nana Abba. Thumbs up 👍 for you.
I love watching you cook! I appreciate your calmness your genuine kind attitude plus the good food🤤 also I love your cooking ware and how clean and neat you are!

Awesome. I loved the idea of adding the spinach which is something I've never tried. I'm looking forward to cooking this soon as a treat for my Caribbean sisters.

The best part of your video is the enthusiasm you have for your food. It’s very infectious. Your food looks great.
Oh wow wow authentic with the grinding process totally loved that 😋. Beautifully done to perfection just so good the draw🙌🏾
In fact, Nana Aba's earthing-wear blending technique is actually genus. Great cooking is about techniques, attention to detail, and patience. The ingredients/recipe for this type of okro soup (*stew) is great and know without a doubt that it will be delicious. Best to try this recipe without substitutions first to avoid missing secret ingredients and techniques. Enjoy!
Aunty, you’re one of the top African chefs on this YT.
This looks so amazing. Okra is one of my favorite veggies. I can't wait to make this.

Mmmm look yummy tasty mmm, Hi greetings from ARUBA🌴👋 in the caribbean🌴.
You never disappoint. God bless for the recipe...Thank you
Grinding the fresh ingredients roughly in the earthen pot aww mine, what a delight. " the acidity in the tomatoes cut of the sliminess in the okro; paa Sissy. Aww mine the crab legs. The shrimp powder just how I want my okro soup with banku. Sissy coincidentally I prepped and an okro stew almost as yours few days ago and the taste was incredible
Enjoyment galore 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤ thank you for sharing I will try this dish
I love cooking and eating...Love all kinds of food but African cooking is the best hands down..
I say the slimier the okra stew the better. My husband is from East Africa and doesn’t care for the slime. For me, pile it on! I’m American but have Ghanian friends so I like the food (on the less spicy side lol)
Another wonderful from our one and only Sister Madam. The okro looks absolutely delicious and very fresh n crunchy. Thanks for sharing, God bless you.

Baby I pray and Hope I get to Ghana this year ...I can not wait
That soup looks delicious 😋
Oh, I clicked on the thumb up before, I watch the video. Your content is always good. Thank you for sharing.
Nana , you are so much classy. I’m going to try this at home . Thank u for u for sharing.
The stew is everything delicious. True okra shouldn’t over cook . I did some okra cooking video the African way, but did not add fish. No crabs either , as we prefer dried fish. In my culture we let okra sit in the sun for about 10mins so that it’s not too slippery when cooked . I love every detail of how you cook . Delicious 😋
OMG You have no idea I LOVED I'm persian but my husband from Ghana I'm trying to learn African food and you helping me a lot Looks beautiful and yammmm Thank and God bless you honey ❤🥀🙏🏼
Love every step,yummy!!!!
Hmm Nanaaba!! I don’t know where to begin..the super fresh and colourful ingredients, the contrast of the peppers in the shiny dark asanka!! Goodness, the video quality and lighting is second to none I have come across. Kudos to you! You should be proud of yourself cos you just keep hitting the high mark every time .. honestly I’m impressed… lovely recipe as always.. 👌🏾👌🏾
