Imagine if they bought them back into production for just 12 months, and with large amounts of stock so that everyone could cop without having to pay resell. Release an OG black & red version and 1 or 2 original colourways like this & it would absolutely kill...😌

I love the concept of these remakes. I'm all for technology improving performance, but at the same time I still maintain my circa '99/00 Nova Mundials were the best boots I ever owned. Easy break-in, no pressure points/blister hazards (for me), super comfortable, decent sweet spot, and pretty good grip on all but the sloppiest southern-spring-tournament surfaces.

They don't put the old sole plate on remakes because you can't play in them safely - lots of clubs ending up banning them particularly among junior / academy players such as Man United while Sir Alex Ferguson was there. They caused too much energy load through the feet leading to stress fractures like metatarsals and other bone issues (there was a huge spate of metatarsal injuries to England players including David Beckham at one point...lots of links to the weight of boots combined with sole plates) - basically they provided too much resistance when rotating the boot in the ground. Modern sole plates much safer in that sense and Adidas are selling these under the assumption that some people may wear them... even though most people clearly not gunna.

They're more protective than most boots for sure.

The AdiPower Predators could be released today, with no changes, and would instantly become the best Adidas boot in their lineup. Or they could swap the Taurus for K-Leather and it would be even better.

The Accelerator is my fave pred, but Adi is overdoing it. I personally prefer the older colorways, and this boot illustrates what we've all said before: just start a Predator Classic line for a better price.

Got to be honest, I'm disappointed with these, poor insole (yes it looks good)not very comfy and very thin, boot is a bit heavy but what I'm most disappointed with is adidas not going the extra yard, your paying £300 for boots , no shoe cream, no little predator on the laces (lzs) no predator on the strap (pulse I think), just think that's what they could have done to make it a premium limited edition product, 6/10 from me
