This is only because US oil producers match Saudi cuts to control price since it is illegal for the US companies to be part of the cartel. However, it does not prevent them from using the Saudi’s to increase price. The US has more excess capacity than ALL of OPEC combined!

People think we get involved in world, particularly the Middle East, because we want their oil. Yet, they fail to realize how much we produce ourselves. We can easily be 100% energy independent when we want to be. What we've really cared about is having the world's reserve currency being the USD and having oil bought in USD. Personally, I don't care and would rather the U.S. be a much more free market, without so much government interference. But, having such world economic power does have its advantages.

I DIDNT KNOW THAT THE USA IS THE NUMBER ONE OIL PRODUCER IN THE WORLD. INTERESTING!

Why are Indians so nationalistic? I have always wondered, because in the west no one is that nationalistic. And unlike the western countries, India is poor, dirty and very polluted with a lot of poverty, a lot of government corruption and very little government welfare support. But Indians are still more nationalistic and proud of their country despite all that, and despite the fact that westerners live far better and longer lives than people in India. I know you people get insulted easily but I’m Indian myself, born in a western country. Although I have lived in India for a couple years when I was younger and I’ve seen how India looks to be 200 years behind Canada or America. Most of India is a slum and even the cities are polluted, underdeveloped hellholes. So why are Indians so proud of their country? I’m not even all that proud of Canada even though I’ve lived a far better and richer life than you. Why so proud of India even though the country is trash compared to western countries?

Per Capita doesn’t matter for oil. The money goes to the oil company who pay taxes which the government uses. What you’re asking for is like asking the per capita revenue of Apple vs TSMC depending on which country the company is from

I am really confused by a stat in this presentation. I know that Venezuela has the largest Oil Reserves in the world. But my understanding was that their production had basically fallen apart. Yet you claim they are producing 256 Million Barrels a year = $17 Billion (where does that statistic come from)?

There is a Lot of Oil in the Philippine shore but China knows it they put the 9 dash line so they could own it
