As a Papua New Guinean, it's disheartening to see the vast amount of energy reserves have been exploited through corrupt deals, and the benefits do not trickle down to its people. We got less than 12 million population with large landmass with huge natural resources reserves. If our government manages properly with good governance and better deals, and also review all the resources laws adopted from colonizers, particularly western, specifically, British and Australian that are not in the best interest of Papua New Guinean but for them. We're systematically deprived of economic independence. If we do that, the country will be throughly well-off 😢

The problem with this video is governments do not disclose their full amounts for good reason, it would cause mass hysteria to international affairs regarding military gas supplies. Russia and many other countries have been tapping and capping undisclosed wells for decades incase of an invasion only they have the locations of for immediate use.

Va te refaire une éducation et peut être qu'un jour tu sera pris au sérieux là dehors dans la vrai vie. La russie est un grand producteur mais qui a fabriqué sa raffinerie à Yamal dans les températures extrêmes? Un joyau de technologie developpé par? Technip entreprise française, merci. La France est un des plus grand producteur d'électricité dans le monde et cela ne l'empêche pas d'être un des fleurons des industries qui requiert de l’ingénierie de pointe. Le gas lui ne représente environ 15% de la consommation énergétique française, un tier de ce gas est importé de Norvège et le reste est dispersé sur d'autre pays. Bien sûr tu es ne le sais pas mais des pays producteurs de gas il y en a plein et eux aussi ils veulent vendre leur gas. T'as déjà entendu parler du Qatar ? Les français sont en train d'y construire la plus grande raffinerie de gas au monde. La prochaine fois tu me paieras pour te refaire l'éducation.

What is interesting is to know who knows how to build these reffineries, not every country know how to do it and even less know how to go deep sea or by extreme temperature even russia got exploitation running in extreme temperature only because of foreign companies.

It's more to do with some of these reserves are very difficult to access, and also the countries themselves do not have the expertise, and they are often politically unstable, meaning foreign companies are unwilling to invest the necessary billions there. Colonialism ended a lifetime ago, time to move on.

@@arismaiden6457 nope it ended, we had the tools the engineers and the labour, no body did anything because they were too worried about stealing from the very same people they 'liberated' from rasicm... Corruption is rampant and the people in charge don't care or know how to run anything. When you chase away the 'colonists' you chase away the skills they could've given.

Australia had the 13 largest reserves and yet they’re selling it to China for a pittance. On top of that they are mandating that by a certain date in the future gas will no longer be allowed for domestic consumption in homes, must go electric. Also gas for automotive use is being priced to the point of being uneconomically practical, over a dollar a litre and is still being given to thee Chinese for a pittance, go figure.🇦🇺

Its called the world bank, must give a percentage of your gdp every year to be a member which is then loaned to 3rd world countries with extremely high interest never to be paid back then those countries must sell all the land and resources to pay the interest, also most countries, like Australia, must send all resources off shore to be manufactured and sold back at expensive prices domestically. The World Bank only funds American and European Anglo interest and keeps everyone poor.
