Hello lovelies,
today's recipe is a simple, airy sponge cake Pan di Spagna which is an Italian Sponge Cake. It’s made with only 4 ingredients: eggs, sugar, cocoa powder and flour…no baking powder, no butter, no oil, and no dairy! hope you all like this video.
Ingredients for 15 cm (6 inches) pan:
3 extra eggs or 4 medium - 200g in total
Plain flour or cake flour- 75 grams ( 2/3 cup )
Cocoa powder - 15 g (2.5 tablespoons)
Sugar - 90 grams (1/3 cup + 2 tablespoons)
**CAN BE flavored with vanilla or lemon zest.

The cake can rise so much even without baking soda and baking powder, it's amazing. I really like this cake model, the ingredients are few and the end result is satisfying. Eating cake like this would be more fun while drinking tea... umm... delicious .. I love this Cake 😋😋

I followed 100% same recipe everything measured in grams on scale and did all but cake didnt rise much. Just a few cm above the batter not like this. Where I went wrong?

the way of blending and baking also matters some ovens heat up quikly and some takes more time.
