Holy. Yes! Sounds awesome. I almost can’t wait to get a divorce so I can have my boy over for 20hr BAR sessions.

The thing with this strategy on the frontline, with choosing the less efficient building ressource wise but the faster to build one, reminds me a lot of how we used to play Escalation, because in ESC the T3 fusion was way more efficient than the regular fusion but took so much longer, and you usually couldn't take your foot off the pedal when it came to making units so you instead scaled slower but still scaled whilst also pumping out units, so I am very happy to see that this approach is still very much alive in BAR. Of course in ESC you had the additional hurdle that the T3 fusion required you to have a T3 con.

Im trying so hard to learn this game too. After playing Age of Empires for so long its certainly strange but im really struggling to learn what all the units do and what comps to make. Loving the videos though, watched them all so im so excited when a new one comes out.

Feels worth mentioning, that the long range AA turrets like the Mercury exist almost purely for their range. Their ability to actually stop any degree of massed air is abysmal. This is because they have a small limited magazine of missiles, which take them a fair while both to fire and to replenish. Their real role is to deny air space, and shoot down any scouting attempts that aren't done with enough numbers. You build one in range of an enemies patrolling fighter wall, and it forces them to either move it further back, or suffer the slow but steady constant losses.

Well comparing eco front to back is a bit hard. If you have a lot of metal you don't need converters. And you get it from mines and reclaims. Also many front line units don't require that much energy. So you could be ahead in military buildpower while beeing behind a view AFUS.

You not only get much more passive income from frontline but you also get reclaim. If you play your cards right and everything goes to plan, u can Eco and make units at the same time. Ive seen it happen in few of my games and oh boy was it glorius to watch

The catch is, so does your frontline opponent. So if they decide it's all into units at that stage it's really bad.

I love to play core bots this map on the hills front line. Build some turrets and just keep grunts to make it long strong. Then get tons of wind and tech before the enemy pushes all the way through your base. It's an easy spot to also tech up with extra mexes. At least for these level ranked games (me at 20 skill level now)

I play this way all the time. I only know the front really. First adv con is the three mex and basic fusion, and then the other goes to the front almost always. The pop up guass can change the front line big time + the bigger radar jammer

We all know the term, "Artosis pylon" - a pylon which, once lost, ends the game because you lose all your tech and infrastructure. Let's start using the term "Artosis AFUS" for a building, which has the same effect.

So i was obsoleet in this game and man we made so many mistakes. I got spooked when dark green was pushed and sent what bombers i had too early and they just got ripped apart. It was my first time going eco/air and i just didnt pull my weight.

Fewburritos had good eco skills, but terrible unit choice. If he went into t3 units or actually went strat bombers in mid game, it would have been hard to deal with. Still had t1 air lab late game and was producing gunships...

I'm chmod777 I think that was my 3rd multiplayer game.

Watching Drongo's BAR content is rejuvinating.

I can't play RTS games to save my life, but damn are they fun to watch.

Be suuuuuper careful with what Drongo said about resources and mexes from other lanes. It´s true it´s better they get used but don´t fuck up your team mates and not giving them the mexes.

Does stealing someones backline mex while there are 8 unclaimed in your lane feel weird to anyone else?

bro plays the air spot, teches, says he carries and then screams at the tech spot player for not playing air,t2 support player (the spot drongo is claiming) wins the game, claims he won the game
