Purple did certainly try to save his team, too bad you were ready for him the second time. The exponential eco really is something, where you can seriously try to build the second most expensive thing in the game (behind the Ragnarok) immediately after losing it.

Purple kills 1st rag "No" Dies immediately to second Rag just for the trouble "Well I suppose Yes" lol
they probably saw the production right at the start when they had the moderate breakthrough next to the plateau. There are only so many reasons to see so many air cons there
Oof, no radar jammer up there by the calamity D: They saw it right as you started with their push.
That first one was FAR too aggressive placement. Much better to keep it safe rather than forcing maximum range. Also worth throwing down ~5 AA before building it -- massive defensive value for like 20 seconds slower uptime

The placement was bold, but overall fine I'd say, but having no pre-emptive defence for it was ridiculous. When you have an eco and mobile build power like that, throwing down some flak turrets and a couple popups is nothing. Literally a single flak gun would have killed those bombers before they could have killed it.

@@UnknownSquid Exactly. You prep a position and THEN start the doom counter ticking. Any time you are playing a game and see some hill being fortified without an apparent reason, that is usually why.
the simple 'no" had me rolling on the floor :)
Did you know that a bunch of turrets are transportable? One way to transfer build power to the frontlines is literally to pick it up and carry it there. Also you can put 90% of the air constructors on patrol, and then just use one or two to lay new foundations.
I am character guy. I love your vids. Hope you don't say terrible things about me in this one!
Drongo taking the concept of "greedy play" to the logical extreme by deliberately stealing his neighbours rocks before even trying to get his own. Not so much for co-operation huh. xD BTW: High Priority only means that the builder/factory will take resources before others when you are low. Hence why you notice near infinite build times sometimes on low-priority units. If you have resources in stock, then all constructors are working at 100% of their build power. Also after spending 60k metal to try that Lolcannon, a single flak gun would have cleared all those bombers before they could have killed it. Would take you 30 seconds to pop down some anti air or fighters to cover your project. And after finishing it, a Calamity without at least a single scouting run is wasted potential.

You really need a scouting run, just knowing where the afus or labs are is key, as saturation nuking is not cost efficient in the slightest.
Six and a half minutes into the match and your team could have lost to a a T1 light tanks and/or the T1 gunships. 40 of either would have been able to push across the Frontline commander sniping to victory. Comm sacs should happen by maximum 2 players. Wish more players knew that.
For a back line SimCity-style eco-build, I was thoroughly enthralled.
Wow cool trick with blowing up the energy converters to speed up the asolar reclaim!
My attempt at documenting the build order: 1. 3 mex 2. 2 solar 3. bot lab 4. 3 solar 5. bot reclaimer, get rocks, constructor 6. 2 solar 7. adv solar 8. 2 mex 9. con turret 10. reclaim lab 11. energy cnonverter 12. 4 adv solar 13. converter 14. t2 bot lab 15. self d com 16. t2 con bot 17. con turret 18. metal store 19. reclaim basic solars 20. reclaim t2 lab, could also sell here first 21. 2 adv solar 22. upgrade to adv mexes 23. 3 con turret 24. reclaim metal store 25. 4 con turret 26. AFUS, should start at 8:45 27. should have 9 con turrets total 28. 6 adv converters 29. self d old converters, reclaim adv solar for metal 30. AFUS should finish at 11:45 31. 6 more con turrets 32. anti nuke, try to position to cover more people keep building column of AFUS, should be ratio of 7 adv con: 7 con turret: 1 afus 33. after 5th afus build metal store TO GO CALAMITY: 34. build 35 more con turrets and 3 more AFUS 35. 8 t1 air labs, all should make con bots 36. t2 air, make con bots 37. make calamity and vision nearby
21:00 who did you set up your construction turrets to prioratize helping building new construction turrets?
Can you explain why you could go for a Ragnarok vs several Basilicas? The Basilicas could get up faster, and be spread across the map in different locations.
Would love to see some 1vs1s, still love the content!
Please explain the hotkeys your using as you use them.
I thought the "TNT2000" might be BrightWorksGaming, but doesn't seem like it - his alias is "tnt" and his flag suggests USA.
How do you get the con turrets to auto prioritize building more con turrets at 16:30?

theres a widget for it
The changing is a massive pain when you have large blobs of air cons, idk what causes it tho
I just got started in BAR thanks to your videos, though how do you deal with the T1 spam mid-late game? They made artillery units so risky due to hitting own units (Eg: Cortex T3 Catapult)
@UnknownSquid
11 ай бұрын
Against T1 spam, either go for Welders/Fiends for units, or throw down walls and the medium laser towers, or T1 pop up turrets. Just don't throw slow firing overkilling units at them. Sumos and mammoths also shut down spam pretty well for Cortex. The more difficult thing with spam, isn't stopping it. It's that it can usually just re-path to find another opening. The dragons teeth especially help reduce their freedom of movement and gives you more time to plug up weak spots.
I would try to do things with less APM. But even I want to click 3 times on a spot to try and get the cons to hurry xD

Then again if I went afus first I would get bombed or raided for sure.
Drongo: how do you build construction turrets with advanced con robots?

As long as the building is started any builder can finish i
why would you not spend 5 sec and put 10 flak up with such eco and build power?
why don't air players make more determined scouting efforts two maximum eco players and just nobody notices or cares until a friggin calamity is nearly up
it's a leather hole puncher
this is so dumb. the optimal build for ANY objective shouldn't include blowing up your own com. hope they fix this
I think it was decoy comm
Why solar if wind is so good?
The player TNT has a KZread channel called briteworks gaming

That's "tnt". This player was "TNT2000". Similar tho, lol.
why not leave the commander on low metal and revive later?
you know of a crazy idea? that there could be a setting in BAR that allows you to get a miniscule bonus to something depending on your IP address/where you live in what country, maybe a choice of 3 generalists things? 3% cheaper t1? 6% faster build time on t1 planes? etc etc. "ah shit herecomes the american and the brazilian with the t1 spam again"
oho?
I suspect purple had a man on the inside, spectators can see everything
Instead of placing your buildings one by one to make a nice line... use Shift.
I still dislike the whole destroying your commander for resources. I should be like Supreme Commander where you lose it and you are out of the game.
@Draeckon
11 ай бұрын
While cannibilizing your own commander for resources seems silly to me, I disagree with 'it dies, you're out', because that means that you don't even get to participate for the rest of the match - which especially sucks if you're just trying to play with your friends. At least if you still have some production or units, it means you can contribute and possibly turn things around, which is a good feeling. EDIT: I would just make it so that self-detonating doesn't drop a wreckage, like it does for Jugs

@@Draeckon I would argue that without a "drop out" when commander dies, there is no risk vs reward to using it. Its just another unit at that point. You should have to run the risk of using its power at the front line vs having it die and be out of the game. It also makes for interesting "commander snipe" strategies.
I think Ragnarok is way cooler looking.
