Shawn Escobedo -- exactly right! Heard them live, was on the front row (front pile really, no seats) and sure enough, she can belt like that live and do it for the entire show. You have to see them live, Lzzy singing her ass off.

I'd actually say she's better live. Most vocalists sound better with studio editing...but Lzzy can actually sing her ass off. And usually holds notes longer and puts a lot of emotion behind these songs live.

The amazing thing about Lzzy Hale, is she can hold those notes LONGER at concerts. She's incredible. Check out "Here's to Us".

This is what I always tell people. Them live is so much better than studio. Also great people they were out all day during a long concert giving away free water to the crowd and signing autographs all in like 28c weather.

ya they were first act before saving abel, 10 years, and shinedown here in Chattanooga before they were even heard of. her voice filled the dam arena and held it like 30 seconds i swear. after they were done performing they were only band that came out and hung by concessions for rest of concert. got pics with them and all her brother is weird tho lol the drummer

Have had the pleasure of meeting Lzzy & the band on their way to Sturgis one year, long ago! ONLY plus for living in South Dakota! Rock on!

Lzzy is, IMO, the finest female rock voice today. And they all sounds just as good live

He’s awesome and love him at gigs, i saw them when they supported Blackstone Cherry in Liverpool, I messaged her saying she should get herself a big drink after that killer performance, next thing my phone is buzzing away constantly, Lzzy sent me a pic back of her with wine in a plastic cup from backstage and people were commenting and liking it like mad and even had a few people come over to me during the intermission saying oh you’re the person lzzy sent the pic to! Love her to bits she’s crazy in a good way

I've been plugging this one for a while now. Lizzy sings with a different kind of power in this one. She may not wail in it or use any vocal fry but hey voice gets under your skin and crawls around. I hope he does this one next!

Definitely! This was going to be my comment as well. That album was the first time they recorded as a group, like a live performance, Rather than one by one doing individual parts. The feel is so much more like seeing them in concert, and Lzzy’s voice has a much better quality to it when she’s feeding off the rest of the band’s energy.

There's a live version of 'Takes My Life' Halestorm did back in their early days that you have to listen to. Crazy vocals from Lzzy on that one.

back in in 2010 or so my friend won tickets for Theory of a Dead Man. we sat outside the big hall (it isn't that big) and waited for the gig, as a woman began to sing, it was some sort of an extended intro, we had to look at eachother, had to shut up and went into the hall. we didn't know halestorm, but they were the openers for Theory of a Dead Man and everyone loved them... after the whole evening they stood outside and everyone wanted to talk to them, we got the signatures on our CD's etc. etc., the lead singer of Theory of a Dead Man walked by and seemed bored because everyone wanted to talk to Halestorm, I think that was the case at every gig they played on that tour... it was awesome

Just recently became a fan of this group. Saw them in concert about a week ago. Lzzy Hale is a awesome singer and puts on a great show. Her brother (who is the drummer) is a total nut! You should totally react to more of their songs!

I seen Halestorm in Glasgow a few years back...I HIGHLY recommend you see them, they're SO damn good live too!!

I just had to subscribe to you. I admire your openness to new music, and how you don’t just listen to the song and say “yeah it was cool” then end the video. When you break down the lyrics in some songs is a great example of this. One of the few reaction channels I enjoy. Keep it up!

Went to see Halestorm in concert with Godsmack and Staind. She opened the show with a scream that raised every hair in my body. She has got one helluva voice.

I’ve seen Halestorm live twice now and had the same level, if not more, intensity than their videos. Still would love to see a reaction to more Jinjer

I've only seen them once but the cool thing is I met Lzzy as she and the guys were walking the stands selling strange case. I asked her how much. She said 10 bucks. I told her how about two 5s and she was awesome on stage. She said thanks and I went back to my seat giddy.

Let me a few older ones to the skillet list: "Whispers in the dark" and "yours to hold" should be one reaction given how they convey the same message in drastically different styles and even personalities, "Lucy" "Don't wake me" "One day too late" "Falling inside the black" And "the last night" although i would couple it with the clip "John tells a story" by "the Abrissbirne" as there is a similarly titeled video for Lucy. as John himself tells the story about it. It's a live video that's a couple of years old. (I still remember how i tricked my latin teacher to excuse me for the latin lesson so i made it in time to see the concert)

This was a great song. I need to check out more of Halestorm. Lizzy Hale is an amazing singer, she’s really got the whole package!

You should do a video for “Shatter Me” by Lindsey Stirling. In that song, Lzzy Hale is the vocalist and it’s absolutely beautiful

@@rossmusic25 you wouldn't have metal without blues and old Country. The outlaws of country have the same mindset as Metal heads. Learn your history son. That's why Lots of metal gods loved the old outlaw country. Hell , Glen Danzig wrote 2 songs for Jonny Cash. James Hetfield , and countless others have covered old country tunes. You ever heard of Rebel Meets Rebel? David Allen Coe , Dimebag, Vinnie and Rex did a whole badass album together. I hate this new pop country. But I respect old Country. They were the true badasses of music.

You were commenting about the drummer which is actually Lzzy’s brother Arejay. You should see him when he does a drum demo Live and gets out the big ass drum sticks! Also here to support the local bands around me! Myself and the band are between a few months and 4yrs apart in age and grew up 40mins apart! Represent the PA bands!

This was also the first of many songs I heard from this band. I think they are out of Chicago and premiered on that reality show about barroom makeovers.

You do know that Lzzy and Arjay(drums) Hale are brother and sister right?

I remember them doing an interview on 99.9(Seattle) and they asked the drummer how it was looking at Lizzy's ass all night, he was like "Dude, she's my sister..."

They are as good as that live, Lzzy can wail and the band as a whole rock, Arejay on the drums live solo o is stunning to watch and hear too.
