I feel that white forest runick is really really powerful, probably the best runick variant we've had until now, but realistically it's just not gonna compete with fiendsmith snake-eyes. That deck is a beast, and it might be even stronger than full power tear. It's almost guaranteed to be a tier 0 and unfortunately we won't get to see how the new decks perform in the competitive scene until it's gone.

Yubel is good but you can stop them decently easy snake eyes is a bunch of one card combos and there all extenders it can play through multiple interruptions and still set up a hell of a board and with fiendsmith it gets worse yubel is easy enough to stop and tempi is a going 2nd deck

To be honest, knowing that Little Goddess is considered as a broken card when nobody care about her effect and the only thing that make her broken is the fact she is a Light fiend really make me question about the card design of Fiendsmith (and overall the card design of Link monster in general)

Link Monsters are definitely the most ridiculous mechanic to be put into the game. No levels, tuners, any two random extenders becomes a monster that can end up creating an entire board by itself.

Little Goddess isn’t broken. Hell it’s not even good as Underworld Goddess because her actual effect leaves a lot of room for interruption. Fiendsmith is the one that is broken.

I mean yes, but tbh as someone who played during that time full Orcust combo was so crazy because you either established Babel or Crescendo with a Ding, and that dramatically was far and above the ceiling of what every other deck would consistently do, especially in MR4; Fiendsmith is nice but offers less technically in what it brings to the endboard relative to the power level of the format. It's more so it gives you a ensured, very large consistency boost for very low card investment while being flexible enough to convert in various things for your endboard.

@@GrandChaseHotStuven For real, it's going to be wild. There's so many ways to have two monsters on the board, and Fiendsmith seems to be able to combo with nearly everything. Like, even Halq needed a tuner.. Edit: Thinking about it, 1 Bonfire = Fiendsmith combo. Bonfire search Poplar, Poplar's Special and search for Original, Linkuriboh, Poplar effect, Original send Poplar for Oak, Oak revive Poplar. Oak Special Flamberge, Moon your opponent, and start Fiendsmithing, with 2 extra level 1s to play around with.

@@GrandChaseHotStuven card for card though, the adventure engine generates more card advantage for the normal summon restriction. - Omni negate that shuffles itself back to deck - free equip spell that protects by battle and also returns something to hand - activates another spell from deck that generates the engine all over again on the next turn At the end of the day, fiendsmith pretty much really only gets you a link 2 and a beatrice or a caesar AND takes up 3+ valuable extra deck spots and a maindeck brick (lurrie).

I wonder why mermaid and lavaval chain are banned if the fiendsmith engine is a thing. Every 2 effect monsters are a beatrice, so it's basically lavaval chain. Which is arguably better than lc because for that card you need 2 level 4, but with fiendsmith you need only 2 effect monsters

They might ban mini Goddess SHS style: Lower rarity release, low impact if banned. Same stupid banlist design that Konami is currently known for.

I mean, yea you can access fiendsmith whenever you want, but my guy, the deck sucks so hard and fiendsmith alone ain't too problematic. Don't get me wrong it's still a pain in the ass but without something around it supporting it it's "just" a problematic 1 card combo

Fienfsmith yubel is pretty strong too, (i do hate it bc ppl cut super poly) is not only sanke eyes who is good yubel has top and even surpassed usage in ocg for 1 week

fiendsmith is way too powerfull as a starter engine/combo than snake-eyes that at least u need either staple like bonfire or their main deck card.. this fiendsmith can be access through extra deck which is more easiest way to start the combo and the fusion monster has a freaking burn damage

Regardless of how many copies of Fiendsmith Engraver you play, You will likely still need the Fabled Lurrie as a brick so 3 is likely still the best. I might try to get away with 2 tho lol

its amazing how it keeps getting worse. They ban generic omni negates and dont hit snake eyes at all last banlist, which hurt my swordsoul deck but I understand why baronne needed to go. But now they print a new omni negate (which could get 2 omni negates on one card I have heard) that snake eyes can abuse again! Why ban baronne if your just gonna print a even more over powered version of her, do they learn anything?!

Drawing more cards means you'll see your breakers and sideboard cards more often. Also there a MUs where you'll draw more than 2 cards.

Is yugioh even a fun game anymore? It feels like every single set comes out, the tubers and players all say the same thing. "oh nice we're getting this, this is gonna ruin the game, oh no this deck is coming" etc ad infinitum.

It’s patterns. Right now the problem is snake eye has been: around for too long, has a playstyle that necessitates quantity over quality of answers, has a potential grind game a control deck would kill for AND IS GETTING BUFFED because the engine in the next set is so blatantly overturned. They have power creep (positive) like pote format and then power creep (derogatory) like phantom nightmare and infinite forbidden

Lack of interest reacing a new high, but it does't matter. People will buyout INFO, and each YCS will have 3k+ players.

I could counter-argue by saying that "where im from" there are 3 different shops that run locals on 3 different days and there are 20+ competitors at each who are all motivated to compete and play the game. But i didn't use that argument because your statement is objectively wrong and easily disproved by every metric, number and data point.

The TCG format is complete garbage right now. They need a complete overhaul on the banlist and hit the problematic engines. If cards like Wanted, Snake Eye Ash, and Bonfire don't go to 1, that format will remain garbage. Hitting cards like Baronne, Savage, and Linkuriboh won't do shit cuz the players will pivot to other generic boss monsters.

Fiendsmith makes me sad, i love the art and design of the deck but the fact that it's so generic and is just going to cause problems for the game kind of ruins the appeal

As much as I dislike the direction the current TCG meta is going in, it's still interesting to hear you're more interested in Master Duel. Personally, I find that format to be so much worse.

Link-2/Light/Fiend/board breaker/generic monster. Yeah, I don't understand why people say its good... At this rate, because handtraps won't be as effective anymore due for this new coming cards being able to recycle and recover too easy, players will see floodgates with friendly eyes due to its lingering effects. Bring back the floodgates!

Its not that it "ruined" the game it's just not a fun format plain and simple. The formats between ariseheart's ban and the release of snake-eyes weren't complained about almost at all for example cause they were fun to play in. The thing with mulchummy isn't about the card being "too good" the reason people complain is because it's a secret rare when it's a generic staple that you might want to play in your side deck but it will be too expensive for a lot of people.

Lmao, we're currently at an Tier 0 format for more than 7 months with the best deck by far being untouched by banlist and Konami is delaying the lista on purpose to force people to deal with Snake-Eye for longer. But yeaaah, people shouldn't really complain right 😂
