I was born in 1996 so I have no nostalgic love of retro things. I do not like retro games. I do not own or play any instruments/keyboards. I have no interest in retro computers. I have no interest in old computer protocols. I dislike Apple products and try to avoid them. Yet I like your "8-bit guy" channel so much that I have seen the majority of the videos on it from the last 4 years. I came to this channel to watch more of your content and have now seen about half of the videos on this channel. My favorite videos are the ones where you explain old computer protocols and point out how various chips work. Yet other channels that do that I find incredibly boring like "computerphile" Point is that since I have no interest in the specific topics you present but I like your channel so much, that you are an absolutely brilliant presenter. To be able to reach people outside of your target audience is quite an amazing ability. I eagerly await your next video.

8-Bit Keys David, if there weren't enough keys on that play-skool keyboard with the Dora The Explora ROM cartridge to faithfully recreate anything comfortably in your opinion, then how is this one any different for you? Doesn't so few keys essentially make this thing useless garbage for you bud? Thanks in advance my good sir, you've slowly but surely become who is easily my favorite, and most anticipated content creator on any platform, and I truly & emphatically am very grateful that you do this for us, your viewers. Hamlet is pretty depressed. His father just died and his mom ran off to marry his uncle Claudius the first chance she got. To make matters worse, his dear old dad's ghost showed up and told him that his uncle killed him to steal his crown. Gasp. But Hamlet can't go around just accusing his uncle Claudius of murder and treason without any proof, now can he? What exactly would he say? A ghost told me? Yeah, that'll go over well. He debates whether he should kill his uncle to avenge his dad's death, or if he should wait it out and see what happens. So he hatches a little plan to make everyone think he's lost his marbles while he attempts to uncover some more evidence.. Strangely enough, it kind of works. Everyone totally thinks Hamlet is actually gone mad. A nobleman, Polonius, thinks it's because Hamlet's in love with Ophelia. Claudius isn't so sure. So the two men set a trap for Hamlet. They use Ophelia as bait to get Hamlet talking. The two men will hide and wait to see what happens when Hamlet encounters Ophelia, hoping they'll be able to judge from Hamlet's interaction with her whether he's been driven mad by love, or by something else entirely. Poor Ophelia. She actually loves Hamlet and now has to lie to him. Hearing Hamlet approach, everybody clears out so Hamlet can privately deliver one of the greatest speeches of all time. What's the question? "To be, or not to be," of course.

Wow, the voice variator makes all the difference on this! I would have loved to have that as a kid. If it also had sawtooth to choose from, then it would be just about perfect, but for square waves only it's still quite amazing and flexible.

@Benny No. Pulse waves are just rectangular. Triangle and sine are not rectangular. Therefore, triangle and sine are not pulse waves.

NIKKU?????!?!?!? Holy crap! Hello! It's Friskyfan from Drawception! Anyways accordng to wikipedia, a Pulsewave ISNT a Squarewave, its simular to it, Here you read what it says, A pulse wave or pulse train is a kind of non-sinusoidal waveform that is similar to a square wave, but does not have the symmetrical shape associated with a perfect square wave. It is a term common to synthesizer programming, and is a typical waveform available on many synthesizers.

Frisk Determination?!?!?!?!?!!?!? Oh my crap! A square wave would be a type of pulse wave, though, being exactly the same as a 50% pulse wave(which the NES is known to have). Same way squares are a type of rectangle.

Squares are Quadrangles... yet not all Quadrangles are Squares. Square Waves *ARE* Pulse Waves... yet not all Pulse Waves are Squares. It's all about the "Duty Cycle" of the Wave Form. This is where we get "Pulse Width Modulation" from :]
