    I think he was always both. If you use and enjoy Apple products, you either become super defensive about them or you become more familiar with their shortcomings than anyone else Apple does many things that get on its customers’ nerves. The reason so many people buy them is because they’re also making some of the best devices on Earth. A good consumer must stay skeptical of the producer, especially a producer they like or who makes products they prefer

    I actually appreciate Logitech's mice that use a AA battery instead of a rechargeable one already put into the shell. Yes, a AA battery still produces some ewaste instead of a wired mouse, but if someone *really* wants a wireless mouse, I think a AA makes sense since you have to replace the battery anyway, and it's actually easy to do so unlike an MX Master or a G Pro mouse.

    @@rustylarry7465 it’s it’s touch capability that makes it special, I rock a G502 Hero (best scrollwheel ever) and I enjoy the extra buttons but the gesture workflow , the swipes and scrolling on Apple mice can’t be beaten the way it’s implemented into macOS, tho i think the second gen is blatantly useless, I’ve got the first gen with an adapter for the battery allowing it to be rechargeable wirelessly (from a 3rd Party manufacturer long before Apple or Samsung came up with that for their phones and stuff) and it’s still rock solid. For gaming tho Apple mice are the worst, no matter how low u set the scrolling sensitivity, u will always place the wrong block in minecraft Also I’ve got to say the first gen magic mice and keyboard have one of the longest lasting battery usage in every product ever. A friend used a cheap knockoff mouse and burned through his savings on a real one in a few months just by the sheer amount of batteries it consumed compared to the original ones. It’s crazy how they managed to get that much batterylife out of these things. It’s crazy how much shorter the second gen rechargeable ones last

    Sell your mouse, use the money to buy apple Magic Mouse gen 1 , optionally get for example artwizz’s rechargeable battery adapter with inductive charging , the tech has been out long before they released the gen 2 , so it wouldn’t have been smart for apple to make a product that’s fighting against an already established market with lots of cheap options But I do agree just having the charging port for gen 2 in the front would’ve been the smartest move

  • @pfizerpricehike9747

    @pfizerpricehike9747

    Жыл бұрын

    Sometimes when my gen1 gets empty I just use it on the charging pad , scrolling clicking and slight mouse movements will still work , and it charges fast enough that you can switch between charging and using it a while when needed, then putting it back on the charger. If you really need charge right now, you can also just throw in 2 double-A batteries, on which it will run for months with 8h/day use. Another benefit is, if the battery in your gen2 loses capacity over time, your mouse will get useless, while you can either just put in new AA’s , or buy new rechargeable AA’s or buy another rechargable battery insert for the mouse and keep using your inductive charging station forever The gen1 will not even become obsolete whenever no 3rd party products supporting it aren’t available anymore bc I don’t see (rechargeable) AA batteries out of production anytime soon The only problem is, most of these charging pads are usb-a , so depending on how new your Mac is you may need an adapter, but i guess if you’d Seriously use it u’d have on already , it’s not like usb-A isn’t used for anything else

    To be fair; you aren't really supposed to use most battery powered devices while charging because they simply aren't designed for that load. For fast charge devices, like phones etc, it actually generates quite a bit of heat, which actually can take life off the battery if it exceeds certain temperatures. I don't personally agree with many of apples choices, but as tradesman say, warnings are written in blood.
