How have I only just found this channel? This is extraordinary. These Red Foxes are essentially untamed wild animals, and while they can tolerate humans to a degree it is almost unheard of for them to allow physical contact like that. Petting is a form of grooming and foxes are seriously particular about it. For Biscuit to allow you to do that, she's displaying affection and acknowledging you as part of her social group. What an incredibly rare gift you have.

That's exactly what I thought of Finnegan Fox and how playful and affectionate they are. I have been a squirrel Mum to two, and they are the same way, if you can believe it....they LOVED playing and my baby girl squirrel wouldnt go down to bed and sleep until I tucked her in every night with head strokes til she couldnt keep her eyes open. I released her into the wild (away from my city home so she'd have a safe country wild life) and I STILL miss her years later

Biscuit looks really healthy, which is wonderful as the only foxes we see here (outskirts of Manchester) are usually young and very thin, which is saddening. They are completely feral and afraid of humans. Wish we could get to the same delightful understanding that you have patiently reached with all your foxy friends 😊
