I'd 100% do everything I could to play with my son, just not by manipulating the draft. What if Charlotte had a first round grade on him and can't draft him cause rich Paul says he won't play. Then Charlotte has to draft someone they don't value as much... I just don't like that. Let him get drafted by whoever values him most then LeBron would have to decide how badly he wants to play him. Go to unrestricted free agency and sign a team friendly deal with his team and make it happen.
