Coming back to this video reminds me of something Doc Rivers said. LeBron's expectations out of high school were literally to be the best player in basketball, and somehow he exceeded those. Regardless of whether you want to talk about Kobe (RIP), Kareem, Magic, etc. the only player who you can argue is better than LeBron James is the best player who has ever laced up shoes. I'm a Chicago guy so I'll never forgive LeBron for breaking my heart, but it's almost hard to believe what he's accomplished.

As a lifelong Clevelander I remember how hyped he was at SVSM and being worried he would never live up to the hype. Not only has he lived up to it, he actually exceeded the over-the-top hype he got back then!! If only he'd have won more NBA championships, instead of being 4-6 in NBA Finals at least be 5-5 or 6-4, I don't think anyone would argue he's the greatest to ever play the game. But because of his 4-6 championship record, Jordan will always have that 6-0 over him which will give enough for people to argue for eternity who is better.

His mother had him at 16 years old. Her mother and grandmother died before she was 19 years old. That's just him and his young mother own their own, trying to survive.
