Oh, Hello on Broadway | Nick Kroll, John Mulaney + More | Talks at Google
Two of the most original voices in comedy today, Nick Kroll (Comedy Central's "Kroll Show") and John Mulaney (Netflix's "The Comeback Kid"), make their brilliant and bizarre Broadway debuts in OH, HELLO ON BROADWAY! They take the stage as their acclaimed alter egos, Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland - outrageously opinionated, 70-something, self-proclaimed "legendary" bachelors of New York's Upper West Side. No one who sees it will be the same, nor will they be that different.
Directed by subversive visionary Alex Timbers (Peter and the Starcatcher, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), OH, HELLO ON BROADWAY is Gil and George's pull-no-punches "memoir for the stage" - a laugh-a-minute two-man tour-de-force that's part scripted, part spontaneous comedy and totally unprecedented. Make no mistake, this is A VERY IMPORTANT PLAY.

It’s terrifying to think I’m running out of John mulaney material on this website

Kroll's timing is insane!
Multiple things. First, I love Nick and John’s friendship so much. Second, my dad went to Georgetown and ALSO knew Mike Birbiglia, so... wtf. Third, I loved Oh, Hello because you can just see these little moments in between jokes or during unimportant dialogue where Nick and John smile like themselves, not like their characters, but like they do in real life, and it’s the most adorable thing ever, because they’ve done so much and they’re so funny and they just look at each other in this wordless moment of, ‘Hey look, you made it. I made it. And now, we’ve made it together.’ And it just shows how organic their friendship is, which is half of why the play is great. It’s them breaking character because there’s their friend, sitting across the stage, doing something hilarious and stupid with them..

They should've brought Ravi along too. He could've brought some Kashi Good Friends Cereal or maybe a sun-faded headshot of Danny Aiello.
