OFMAC Henley-on-Thames April 2024

Some great flying today.
I had a new 1/2 size Vic Smeed Coquette powered by a Telco which proved a great success, the video is of an early flight but more trimming with a Gurney flap and a little less rudder had it climbing nicely ...too nicely in fact as it hit the rafters more than once. I did get a nice throttle setting that saw it cruising nicely without hitting the ceiling and staying up for what seems like ages but as ever that last little tweek saw it climb a little too much hit the roof furniture and the resultant impact dislodged the wing, still all repaired and ready to go again (I just need to remember to keep the revs down on the Telco)
My peanut DH60 is also flying much better with a couple of circuits and a climb too but rubber bunching in the tail keeps upsetting things so I'll make a bobbin up for the rear to try to stop that happening
