KrazyKleptoCollecto Mars it was done really well and it wasn’t “stylized” as in singers have the change keys to hit notes which shows a lack of control and ability. This woman hit those notes so well. It was done perfectly imo. I loved it!!!!! She nailed the song. She showed her power without growling or “ooooh ahhhh” etc. this was A++++++ it couldn’t get any better

I like that everyone seems to get about the same amount of screentime, even if they're not really musically featured in a song. And then the ones who aren't featured are in the next song. it's nice to see a group that can share the spotlight evenly and fairly

Point of Order: Pitch Perfect was based on the Girl Acapella Groups around the college age that would enter ICCA (now Varsity Vocals) and would consistently place lower than all male and mixed vocals groups. One group that dominated ICCA in the past 20 years was the SoCal Vocals (USC) from which Scott Hoying was originally attending and put on hold to be on the Sing Off...on which he and Pentatonix won in Season 3. These girls were picked by Scott and others...so the fact that this has come full circle (and an all female A Capella group is blwoing our faces off with a solid bass...is quite the story and feat. (Edit: the girl groups weren't inferior...it was just...*wait for it* ...they needed more bass).

One of the girls, Hannah, was on American Idol when she was 16 and then on the Voice 2017 when she was around eighteen. I personally think she's better with the group and that the contract they have with RCA will give them more popularity soon...when this shitty Coronavirus situation gets better. Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Spain. PD: I almost choke with my water at Nina's last high note.
I absolutely hate how incredibly underrated this is. This needs way more views than it has currently.

You had to learn part of a song and the accompanying dance and send a video of yourself as well as fill out all this stuff about yourself. I don't actually know but I am assuming that this is the group he put together. I know a few of the girls went to Acapella Academy which Avi runs so I think they had worked with Scott previously.

This is how a capella is done... Powerful, but not over-the-top, with every nuance of the arrangement serving the song. Beautiful.
They all carry the same weight and contributions to the song! THATS SO RARE!
I love how they sing to each other, lead each other and push each other all at once and they all seem capable of lifting their voices to new heights. When Nina took over though, wow, I got chills right through my bones. That was the moment for me. She is so pure. A few of the charting groups could take some lessons from these ladies in arrangement, style, tonality, power, placement, everything.

She's an Alto for sure. Such a soft and pure voice too. So cute!
I love Hannah's voice, but it's nice to see that she took a back seat in this one, sharing the spotlight often is one of the toughest parts of a cappella, or musical groups in general. They've handled it very very well so far, a really nice balance of each member, although I wouldn't mind a piece of a song with Cora singing lead, I'm sure it will come with time. Kaylah impressed me with that upper range, her and Hannah both have such outrageous ranges, with extremely low chest notes as well as the high belts. Nina is queen of the stratosphere however, she seems so comfortable in ranges that are usually extremely hard for singers (compare Kaylah and Nina singing for example). And of course, Kaedi, who isn't even human. I've met girls with ranges into the 2nd octave, but they don't sound nearly as full and rich. Obviously part of that is because this is a studio recording, but even still, I've heard her voice without a mic, and she sounds just as rich.
