Dude!!!!! I thought i was the only one who knew about this! They're training facility was behind my dads grocery store. This was Eddie Mansfield's company. I met his wife a bunch of times, met Mondo Kleen, who had some choice words to say about Vinnie Mac, ( crazy how he became Damien Demento yrs later) Blackjack Mulligan used to buy sandwiches from us. And Chubby Moe Cool! Whatever happened to him. I never got to meet Kip Winchester and Brett Colt my dad did. Was so happy the became the Smoking Gunns later on. Theres so much more i could say, but this is long enough. Thanx for the memories Tom!

Thank you for sharing! That sounds amazing. I wish I knew what happened to Chubby MC, because he ruled. I cannot imagine all of those dudes walking into my dad’s place of business. So awesome.

@NotThatTomGreen1 We all shared the same parking lot so that's where we would see a lot of the wrestlers. On a slow night in the store if we kept the back door open (it was a garage door we would close only the gate so still secure but it would let air in, there wasn't AC in the store room.) and if it was quiet enough you could here them slamming onto the mat really loud, sometimes customers would question it and we'd tell them there is a wrestling school back there.😄

Oh GAWD... Blackjack Mulligan is giving me Dusty vibes with the way he talks in this show. Also, so amazing to see future talents like Thunder & Lightning, The Smoking Gunns, and Kevin Kelly before they became stars.

Oh wow, wasn't aware Kevin went that far back. I had read it was Billy who got him to WWF in 96 but wasn't aware of him being around in wrestling that long. I guess it explains why they had him do play-by-play on a few Raw & Superstars tapings after Summerslam that year.

I used to watch IWF weekly. I'm sure I have some clips here and there from my tape collection. Same soundstage as Impact back in the day.

I'm sad that I wasn't there live for this but Randy Rhodes has a match with the Undertaker on WWF TV and Randy actually gets a lot for an Undertaker squash match, it's really wild.

@@arostwocents he was a local Florida guy who was pretty good in the ring - he passed away about a year and a half ago or so but up until 2023 he was still training people in Port St Lucie. Really nice guy!

Was this the promotion that had a champion by the name of Chubby MC? This aired on Sports Channel up here in NY for a bit? And Ax teamed with a guy by the name of Blast as the new Demolition.

The Stomper couldn't possibly be Archie "the Stomper" Gouldie, aka the Mongolian Stomper, could he? Gouldie was active in Smoky Mountain in 1992, but I don't remember him being that huge even in his prime

The blonde guy in the Bad Boys ended up teaming with Big Tilly as Phi Delta Slam. They were on TNA for a while but I can't remember what their names were. I think they did some matches as PDS and some as Main Event Mafia security.
