Hit up MORR and do some rock crawling. Hit up Busted Knuckle and get some rock bouncing in. N that's more of the mainstream stuff but there is plenty of other stuff.... Gambler 500, 24 Hours of lemons, Pagonda junk car race, Tough trucks. I could probably name off events until I'm blue in the face. I'll be attending the Gamber 500 this year and am trying to make it back to Florida for some of cleetus's shenanigans. It's gonna be really cool watching your channel grow while you experience some of the greater things our country has to offer.

all day this is just the beginning of this kind of shenanigans for luxifer. back on familiar grounds for a hilux. i still find it enjoyable in my old 95 kzn130 3L turbo diesel hilux surf, can only imagine how much more fun it would be with that engine and gear ratio

Ride dunes at night. Caravan cruise hitting hilltops and valleys. Your Hilux is large for any trails but parking on elevation & looking at stars whilst drinking a beer or 2 is a good time.

I broke my back there over 20 years ago and didn't get the steroids used to bring down the swelling for 4 hours. I ended up paralyzed from the swelling strangling my spinal chord. If they would've life flighted me out, I would've got the drugs in half that time and I'd probably be walking today. Instead they put me on a backboard then on a buggy (which probably caused more damage and swelling from all the vibration going through the backboard straight to my exploded vertebrae) then into an ambulance for the two hour drive to the hospital. I got no steroids no pain medication from the EMT's, it was the most excruciating painful 4 hours I've ever been through.

That truck is wild in the dunes. Looks like it is causing a sand storm. What a beast.

they make some tuff transfer cases over there, how hard to get a front diff back in the lux ? 2wd and 4x4 skids

So i have a 454 big block ,4 speed 2wd 76 stepside Chevy truck, and ever since i saw roadkill do the dunes with their stepside 73 muscle truck years ago, its been something on my to do list. This just makes me want to even more. Just need a cam and a bearing set, gaskets and i should be set to go again.

to be honest your vehicle is somewhat setup for dirt anyways. like the comments mention you'll need bigger paddle scoops on the tires. if i were you try to find a skinnier bed to run a taller tire(the paddle scoops make the tire tall and will rub against the current bed. thats why youll need a skinnier bed
