I want to make a comment .....Mckenzie, you may not be able to do the work of your husband but let's all remember what he is doing this for. YOU! If it wasn't for you we would have never got to know your husband, the kids that you had, the pets, and all the great times you made us laugh. This is all because you exist. Never under estimate how important you are. I think I can speak for the majority of the people here. We love you and your family and are very blessed to know you. Thank you for being a part of our life!

People who call you a spectator Kenz have obviously not watched back when you were building the house. I remember the hard work you did including holding up sheets of drywall while putting up the ceiling. You also managed to have 2 children, being a wife and mother is the most important job in the world. People have no idea how much work it takes to film and edit these videos for our enjoyment. I know other tubers who respect your abilities and endeavour to produce the same standard. Love you guys, cabin is coming along nicely 👍

You should move the container now to its final destination before you do walls, or they will probably crack with the motion the container will experience during relocation.

Same thoughts here. When they load that container at a 45 degree angle, it's going to have some flex to it. It might be best to move it to it's final resting position now rather than later. I'm even kind of worried about the windows remaining intact during the move. Hope the move goes well whenever you do decide to do it.

Of course, you are correct if they use drywall, but they could use other materials besides drywall to build the interior walls such as cedar planks. That would create more of a cabin feel that could be very nice.

HAPPY HUGGER - People regularly move tiny houses on roads by towing them behind a vehicle. Many of those tiny houses have plaster board and all have windows. I have yet to view a video where the walls or windows have cracked or broken. It would seem the stresses from being towed for hundreds of miles would equal or even exceed the stresses of the container cabin being moved, unless there is a problem that severely torques the cabin.

Nothing at all, I think she was more referring to the Feminist movement, modern woman who uld be offended because ALOT of work has been done to give woman an outlook that's not just mother and homemaker, meaning woman have more to offer, and when I say more to offer, woman still proudly maintains all those old view tasks however we want to be known for more than those old view tasks. Nothing wrong at all with woman being homemakers, I have homemakers on one side of my family and the other is full of feminists 😂

@@hoppiness1 - Ariel of the Fy Nyth channel had to exhaust her wood stove through the side because it was added a year or so after her tiny house was built (6-7 years ago). The stove was given to her brother last fall as he was building his cabin, so the stove pipe goes through the ceiling. Two big take aways: 1) Ariel had to clean the entire stove pipe several times during the winter (every month, I think) and her brother did not have to clean it until the late spring. There was more creosote each time Ariel cleaned the pipe than was in the stove pipe for the one cleaning her brother has done. 2) The stove produces more heat in the brother's cabin and a full load of wood 2-3 hours longer than when the stove was in Ariel's tiny house.

We have the smallest that Buck Stove makes and when we use it in a 1280 sq ft space the temp goes up to over 80 and we have to open windows to get the temp to 74. It's wonderful to have it and it's a blessing in the winter when the outside temp is single digits when the electricity goes out. We live in northwestern, NC. If you want to have the stove close to the wall here is some info that may help - A combustible floor must be protected by a non-combustible material (like tile, concrete board, or certified to UL-1618 or as defined by local codes) extending beneath the heater and a minimum of 6" from each side and minimum 16" from the front face of the stove and minimum 6" (or the rear clearance to combustibles whichever is smaller) from the rear of the stove.

I cut grass with one for close to twenty years we were the only family that used one in our neighborhood so the kids would make my life hell on those day’s making jokes. But it never broke down and as a family of all women my grandmother went for something easy and light weight. Love the plans you have for the new build it is looking amazing. Love the windows and have always wanted one like the kitchen window. I bet you could put a 3 rd bunk bed in that room if you wanted to. Looking forward to the rest of the build. Susan

Hi Spencer I can’t believe she pulled the wife card on you. 😂😂😂 in the living space area you can put a twin Murphy bed transforms in to a couch. You can get it on line by looking up transforming furniture. This furniture was made for the tiny apartments in the big city’s .

Hello guys! I have watched every episode of your journey over the years and I must say, I truly enjoy watching your videos! I look forward every week and can't wait to see the next one! I applaud every effort you make! The snakes would have me blow torching my entire yard!!!! I am not a fan of snakes. Being a homeowner I know what you guys are going through! I've built 4 homes over the past 20 years as the primary contractor/owner. I hired out all required work though because I was in the US Reserves and just couldn't do all the required work. Thank you so much for sharing this journey of your life with me. Keep up the good work! I absolutely love it! Sincerely, dj

Your ending shot of Bo and daddy is so precious - that shot should be made into a picture to frame and hang in your home. P.S. Get some of those heavy duty sliders to temporarily put under the legs of the stove - you'll be able to push/move it with 1 hand!

This couple has inspried me to do the same thing but a little bigger, I am in the middle of saving so I can get my property and all the containers that I will need. I have seen almost every video 2 times and learned from watching this channel. I plan on doing off grid home in Arizona with solar and wind (the place I plan on building is not too hot in northern Arizona) but the winds to pick up at night so figured Why not take advantage of the wind as well) My design will take 4 containers and some open areas that are connecting the contaniers to the shipping containers in a square formation and a small area in the square for outdoors area, since wild animals are a thing where I will be building I can have pets outside when then want to and not worry about them getting away or attacked my large cats or coyotes. I will be coming back again and again to watch and love seeing in my suggestions the new videos. I know that you prob don't get to read every comment. But, thanks for sharing and the kids are getting so big. Good job you guys.

@Daniel Smart absolutely nothing wrong with being your husbands (or wifes) cheerleader. It does matter to be supportive, encouraging & congratulatory towards your spouse. It breeds thankfulness for your wife and the willingness to continue to do hard things for your wife. Especially if she doesn't have the same skill set to do the hard things such as build a home. For the life of me I still don't understand why men aren't allowed to recieve praise from their wives and wives are looked down upon for being an amazing support system(cheerleader) for their husbands.

Very nice video. Always nice to see you and how well you realize your ideas. Laugh, your stove for the container, already suitable for a sauna in Alaska. If it is cold / cool, you need warm water. Spencer can install a heat exchanger in the flue gas pipe, material 310 with baypass and shut off valves. With this you can heat in winter and have hot water. Two tanks, one small, one larger. With two 12 volt motors, everything is regulated. Little weight and lower costs. Spencer understands what I mean. For the heat exchanger, an expansion in the flue gas pipe, with cleaning hole. The heat exchanger, with 1/2", or 3/4" tubes build, can Spencer himself, or ask me, sure I help. Greetings from Frankfurt

Speaking as a former Chimney Sweep who has installed plenty of wood stoves. You are correct about the stove being overkill. Actually, even on the lowest setting, the entire cabin may be unbearably hot. A stove tailored toward an RV may be a better option. Great Videos. I look forward to them each and every week.
