I think when I started watching there were less than 20,000 subscribers. I remember writing back then that people were watching the channel not so much to learn about using containers to build, but because of the beautiful way the two work together. And it doesn’t hurt to hear her laughter either. I think my comment then is still true today and is why the channel has grown so much. Anyone else agree?

I'm not sure, but i think the ranch land is owned by Spencer's grandpa, maybe. it might be getting used for the ranch again, now that they are in the house. but otherwise yeh i would fix up the barn and use it for the equipment if i had access to it. it already has power too.

Containers cannot be buried, the weight of the soil will collapse them from the sides-the corners are the only part of the structure that are load bearing. And the constant moisture environment would make rust control a nightmare

It was precious to see Cam Climb up with you and Kens and start crying when you took him out. Thank God for the tractor to pull the broken vehicle back to the house. Of course Beau saying I have no swimsuit to go into the water just goes to show how you instruct your children how to live properly. Of the Kens sitting on your lap in the tractor was a hilarious segment. Thank for such an excellent video and until the next one be blessed this week.

I assembled a versatube shelter maybe 15 years ago for my utility tractor. I mounted it to railroad ties to raise it up off of the ground and give it some added weight. So far, the wind hasn't moved it or torn it up. I later had a shed built, so now I use it to keep firewood out of the weather. I'm happy with it.

Shame that barn you had wasn't large enough to protect earlier.. Only concern I have is that pine tree has the most shallow tap root and will be the first to lift from bad weather or saturated ground. Hope the carport serves you well.

Pines have taproots in soil that has decent drainage. Taproots keep the tree stable and keep it from falling over in the wind. However, if the soil doesn't have good drainage (we don't know which kind of soil they have) then the root system spreads out a bit in an attempt to get nutrients. I don't know what kind of wind they get there, but I don't think the tree will fall over.

Buy acf50 for your tractor. You can either get it in an aerosol or a liquid and apply it with a paintbrush. It was developed by the air force to protect the planes from corrosion but it can be used on any vehicle. Cars, bikes, etc.. just be careful not to get any on your brakes/tyres. You can also coat the electrics with it. It's fantastic stuff.

My 2 cents here. I would have poured a slab or at least graded & put down a rock or DG base under the shed. Those continuous base rails will rust out from the bottom up sitting on the ground. I know they appear to be galvanized, but that's only a cheap, thin electroplating.

The kids are adorable - poor Cam and the mud bath. Boys are typically big fans of mud, but it has to be their own doing, I guess, haha. I love to listen to Beau's ideas. She is such a smart, sweet little girl. Isn't it amazing how quickly they grow up!? Is there a chance for a #3 babe? Thanks for sharing more adventures with us. You two never cease to put a smile on my face. Heather🇨🇦

All kinds of rust preventative stuff out there. I'm particularly fond of Fluid Film. Made from sheep's wool wax (lanolin) so it is as benign as it gets for this kind of stuff.

Stewart, I have been watching you and Mackenzie since before your first container was delivered and have loved every minute of it. But when you started your tractor up while standing on the ground it sent a chill through me. I have worked with large tractors and even larger heavy equipment for over 25 yrs. and my own tractors much longer than that. Starting a tractor from the ground is one of the most dangerous things you can do. I personaly know someone who was run over by his tractor by starting it from the ground. He was lucky, his tractor was not as large as yours and he survived with only a few broken ribs. Please do a little research and find out just how many people have been killed by starting a tractor from the ground. I would really like to see what you and your young family do for as long as you care to share it with us. Take care.

Your lucky, we just had a hail/thunder storm. Some hail was as big as baseballs, and city park across the street lost telephone poles. I have one of these carports, paid to have mine put up! Hope yours has anchors. The wind can lift them up. - Say, report on how the water supply is doing too! Oh, more eggs! Spencer will be glad for the extra Strength! Lol
