Very well done! Rievaulx is my first go to when I travel to the UK. I will be there in two weeks and sharing it with my husband for the first time. The peace I find there is life altering.

To me the history and architecture of the Abbey are even in ruins so Historically interesting . I love history in every period. Thank you .

Excellent video, I probably became a medieval historian thanks to Rievaulx. Living in what was then Burgundy I’ve had the chance to visit Cîteaux and Clairvaux. We also have lots of abbeys here that were either destroyed by the revolution (Citeaux) or reformed and repurposed as parish churches (Romainmotier). I agree with your contributor that the abbey was most likely to come to an end at some point. It’s remote location would have most likely precluded use as a parish church. Thanks for the video.
