OEM TOOLS Automotive Tune-up and Brake Bleeding Kit Unboxing and Use!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Like the title says, I unbox this little pump, awesome for single person brake bleeding, these kits are also great at sucking out other fluids from the car with little mess, as long as its not too much. I include a demonstration at the end of the video.

    I have this same tool and I've tried to use it in like 4 different brake jobs. I always end up using a clear hose and my wife's foot 😂

    I’ve had a bit better luck than that, but I way further trust the pedal method.

    This is wrong though. -There is the attachment on the inside of the reservoir cap for a small hose. -You need to put the small hose on the inside of the reservoir cap and enough brake fluid in the reservoir that the bottom of that hose is submerged. -Attach the hose to the brake bleed nipple thing while it is CLOSED and pump the vacuum 15-20 times -Crack that valve open and watch the fluid come pouring into the reservoir while you do NOTHING (no pumping) - Rinse and repeat till you get clean fluid/air out I just did two calipers while trying to manually pump the fluid out, after cracking the valve open, with probably every different variation order of operations and when I stumbled across this one. It just WORKED there is no way it is not the exact way it is intended to be used.

    Maybe the sudden exposure to vacuum is enough, but I’m guessing YMMV.

    You must open the fluid reservoir on the master cylinder. did you remove the reservoir cap?

    It certainly helps. Yes, we leave it open so we’re not fighting any vacuum from that side and can easily top it off as we go.

    question what happen to the bubbles did their go away or not? like the video!

    The bubbles never really go away, I believe thats because the hose is so large. I know using the vacuum gun and power bleeding the brakes resulted in no bubbles.

    Looks like you can use the T-shaped adapter to start a continuous siphon as well, which will let you move things from one large container to another large container without continuous pumping or repeatedly emptying the small container. Right goes to the pump, left goes up to the source container, and bottom goes down to the destination. 1) plug the destination tube with your finger. 2) squeeze the pump a couple times to pull fluid toward the T junction from the left (source) branch 3) once the fluid is past the highest bend of tubing, you can stop pumping and release the destination hose. Instead of continuing through the T junction toward the pump, the liquid will flow down into your destination container. Remember, siphons work off gravity, so the source container has to always be higher than the destination. It also helps to keep the pump itself above the T junction just in case.

    Did you figure out that you need to put fluid in the cup before cracking the bleeder?

  • @RedBarnHomestead

    @RedBarnHomestead

    Nope, just suck away on it, the cup holds fluid great but that’s all it does as long as you keep vacuum on the system. It serves as a gas/liquid separator.

    This might help someone but your better off using the tube to at least suck out most of the bad fluid out the reservoir then using pedal method for calipers.

    Perhaps, I will often replace all the fluid in the reservoir before beginning.

    @@jdias51 I got it to work. I got pissed at it, and decided to wash everything in an effort to return the kit. Get my $40 back from autosuck. For whatever reason the pump works now. Try putting the pump on your finger. Get a good seal, if it still doesn't work try dunking it in water I guess 😂. It's important to have a really good seal. Don't forget to o ring for the container. The o ring sits on top of the container. Dont try and put it in the cover. If that makes sense? Those 2 odd looking 90° black things are actually meant to go over the bleeder screw. It's a decent kit if it works, I can tell though it won't last long, and it's certainly NOT worth $40. What a rip off. It did eventually work for me though, and because of it I now have fresh new DOT4, and a like new brake pedal feel. I can't stand a spongy brake feel. I go crazy getting all the air out, and with my current car I looks like I'll be doing brake fluid every 2 years with the miles I drive.

    It works great in the front, I’m wondering if it’s too long a pull though all the brake line, proportional valve abs, etc.
