The Wisdom of Odin is a vlog of my journey through Norse Paganism, a way to assist others along their journey, and a place to promote a positive image for all of paganism.
While I personally declare myself as a Norse Pagan, I speak on topics that also involve aspects of Asatru, Heathenry, and other pagan identities such as Slavic/Celtic/Germanic paganism.
The Wisdom of Odin is not associated or affiliated with any orginizations religious or politcial in nature. This channel/community is inclusive to all but is also non-political.
All gatherings held through the Wisdom of Odin and its extended community are private events held and organized by the members of the community. The only service the Wisdom of Odin provides is a place to connect with others of similar beliefs in the old ways.

I had several people mention that the audio on this video was low. It doesn't appear to have effected everyone. However it was enough that I am releasing this version that has boosted audio. It does not have HDR so it won't look as vibrant. However I do believe the length of this video combined with the HDR was the reason for this happening on certain devices. kzread.info/dash/bejne/eJmbx5mYnLWddtY.html

I, having been raised Roman catholic happened upon the knowledge of Odin finding it more aligned with the fortitude in my heart. I'm not much for groveling at anyone's feet. Odin doesn't want you on your knees he wants you to be a warrior. And I have fought my battles the best l knew how, including but not limited to the cancer in my brain. It is the fight before me! May l see you in Valhalla, we will have horns of mead!

  • @Pastamist

He may not be wrong. If Odin shows up to you, you have something he wants, which is very dangerous. Loki is something akin to a vaté, or a hearth guardian, but he’s two-faced and ultimately serves himself; Thor is a bit more on the honest side. He’s more relatable and grounded, being a god of the workers, but his temper is terrible, and the blood on his hands (and hammer) is nothing to scoff at. If a human, a mere man of Midgard has the attention of higher beings beyond the realm within Asgard, it’s like advanced civilizations finding out less sophisticated people exist, like the white settlers and native Americans. It *could* be beneficial and interesting, or it could end very terribly.

*Allow me to share something with you all to explain that this faith is very much alive!* 😊 Did you know that here at my coast in Norway, we still speak like 60% of the same tongue as they did in 750 A.D? Same with the way we write. From my grandfather’s 370 year old house and all the way down to the sea, there are viking graves and items👌🏻. Other Norwegians barely understand us, and there is some very good reasons for that. The coast that I live at, has been called the coast of savage fishermen for 100s of years. During Norway’s 434 year long period under Danish control, our coast was not effected that much by the big changes. Not even when the Swedish made us union from 1814 - 1905. The sea, forests and our specific location saved us from a lot of changes which the rest of Norway had no chance to withstand. The old ways are kept deep within our hearts. Traditions and life itself is by the ancient ways at my coast. Parts of Denmark, Sweden have also kept this faith. Especially Iceland! Honor The Gods & Take Care! 🇳🇴🇮🇸🇸🇪🇩🇰🍻🍄

@@cillianranngarsson2762Blood is for kin. But man can select what ever path. And if it leads him on our road, he is welcome. Odin is with us. Not to bless or necessarily keep us out from harm's way/keep us safe. But provide us with what we need to become so. It's up to us if we use it right to make the best of the outcome. Our strength in situations we meet, will be tested. He will provide the true followers with that strength. Which isn't always the amount of what we can lift. May Thor give you the right challenges for you to grow and build you on the strength that comes with experience. A heavy breath while walking the wind's way, will blend right in and never be felt. It will be forgotten by you, yourself within a short period of time. But turn around, and the wind will run into your face. May Odin build your mind strong like Fenrir's eyes in every situation you meet and make you wiser for days to come. Cuz no man is fully schooled. May Tyr run through your blood when ever someone crosses a line. May you also look another way when the situation is right for doing so. He will notice that aswell and smile. May you keep these ancient powers and effect those who walks alongside you. A making of a warrior. Not to be given a blessing, but to earn it by the tests of Hel. Thats what separates you from those who will never have the God's eyes upon them. Skål brother🍻 What im saying is, I wish you well too😀

Odin is so important to me, he is the Allfather and sometimes things in his stories might not make a lot of sense to us, maybe that part we are not supposed to get yet, he is the Allfather and maybe by today standards he gets super misunderstood, but it's because they are deeper levels of understanding things he wants to share and we are not ready yet to get them... being wise it's not about how much you know is how you use that knowledge, so becomes hard to explain...but keep going and you might get the answers you need or not depends on what are you willing to do to get the sight to see and to get that wisdom....

You try to speak using several viewpoints and it shows (for good). Other people may just do a quick "the god of x, he likes x and this is a famous story" and like we don't get much real material besides a bedtime story and basic info we already know. So thank you for all the research! It is much appreciated.

I have followed spiritually with the laws of Asatru through the Norreana Society teachings since 2002. I took my learning from personal discernment of the truth apart from anything we might be told in any official written narrative. From my own studies I think we had been Pharaoh's for more than 23,000 years upon this earth. We are the creations of the Creator, our All Father. Odin is in everything around us as in seeing the leaves tremble when the wind passes on a tree. The runes are laws. When you bind laws think of bind runes. No written law has binding without a currency issuance. The moment you give your own values to worthless paper from a printing press and issue this as the currency, all job positions serve in your employ. This is the Pharaoh's control of countries because the laws of every country on earth are bound, through the currency issued, to obey the laws of this Office. A currency that is unique to your country alone and is separate from other currencies and also, cannot be transacted as currency in other countries, nor their currency in your country, binds all people of only your own country to your own written laws. But the moment your creation of currency begins being issued as currency in other countries their laws will be what you decide, as "employer", through the currency issued. The written laws we live beneath today have binding only so long as the banks issue "their" own creation of currency (from worthless paper and a printing press). Were it devalued their laws would be rendered Null & Void because they would have no binding. The only way we can have binding laws which we decide ourselves with our votes is to issue a currency unique to our country alone issued from the Office which we create to be "The Highest Office of the Land"- It must be issued by this Office but not by a person! very important because this Office controls all job positions as employer in every country which issues his own creation of currency.

this was awesome. thank you! do not apologize for the length of your video, i prefer longer ones when i am working in my studio. i have been interested in norse mythology since high school (several decades ago) however, until the advent of the internet, i was only finding the most popular information. i have a copy of snorri’s edda and having escaped my catholic upbringing, now i understand why i continually have trouble reading it…. the “a-ha” moment. it’s not me, it’s the book. blessed be.

Met you through a channel Mudfossils, who was reading from old texts. Norse religion was just one subject I haven't explored, but now I have you as an agreeable source. I enjoy your enthusiasm in describing these stories. Can't wait to explore your channel. Interesting statues or rocks? displayed in Your background. They are definitely resemble Mudfossils. See my other comment.

Magic is real! Having a clear and strong intention and belief in something does affect reality. This is how magic has always been used, a ritual to affect your faith to create a desired result. I've had real weird experiences once I suspend disbelief and short circuit my rationality, and getting away from other people definitely seems to increase this effect. And you will definitely experience this once you become firm in your belief of the magic of the Vikings.

100% American Christian minds don't get the norse mindset. I laughed when the lad was apologising for drillerier between father & son. Odin would never leave love hearts to those lick spittle's blowing wind up his arse either.

The Allfather, that god who finally made me a norse Pagan. To this day I don't know whether it was real or a vision, the one-eyed security guard who asked me questions and gave me advice that continues to occupy me to this day. That was totally weird, as if in a frenzy. And with my family tree I always assumed that Thor would call me ... My favorite Statue of Odin is at Thale, Germany.

Had a similar experience. I saw a man on a rooftop away from my apartment, old man with a long beard and one eye. I was about to commit suicide, but as he saw me, from like over 50 yards away, he spoke to me like I was standing next to him. He told me to stop, and that I my path will not end by my own hand. I wanted to reply, but I blinked, and he was gone. I converted right after.

You're videos are very interesting, great job! I have a question regarding your backgrounds, do you take a picture and use it as a background or? It's obvious your not really at the stated location while filming, I am assuming studio recording due to weather or other unforeseen issues.

But after watching this I have better perspectives on Odin, thank you for this video I'm looking forward to learning more about the All Father.

I grew up raised on Christian beliefs. My mom would have a fit if she knew that, not only am I struggling with the beliefs she tried to instill in me but also that Norse Mythology and Paganism seems more aligned with how I feel in my heart. Honestly though, it does not matter to me what someone believes; if they are a good person, who has no intention of harming others, then they should believe and worship as they wish. Has anyone else had an internal struggle in wanting to move from a monotheistic upbringing to Norse Paganism? I guess I am just looking for advice, support, etc.
