well a free version exists, just not with the ocean effect, and the pro version is made quite well, cuz it requires a login to unlock it, proving you paid with a once generated code basically

I've tried this mod too, but I get huge lag peaks frequently when I'm moving on Wynncraft (my modpack has included most of the performance mods from your modpack). However, I've also tried in single player world too and it performed pretty smooth. Is it possible to fix this issue on Wynncraft?

Yes, it would prob be best to disable some of the features for less lag, also using the latest version of the mod. Disable features like the block, smoke and cloth physics and it will prob the less laggy

damn its a really nice mod, tho i'm not sure how it looks in first person

its fully client side, it doesnt actually move the player at all :p it just moves the model you see, if you watch someone use it, but you dont have the mod on, it will look like normal boat riding :p (there is a hitbox changing option, but that wouldnt be allowed, the the option warns you that its not allowed on multiplayer)

you need to pay 12 USD for a current version and it works for all that time, only pay another time for updates, basically you get all the versions/updates for the first month, but they'll unlock those mods forever
