I seriously don't get the disliking of shaman. I find the damage incredible. You can clear any cave with ease by just popping down a totem and casting aura a couple times. You can just walk around your totem as summoner for a while and the boss will die. You can grind enemies from 30 blocks away underground with no risk by just shooting straight down. You can throw a totem into restricted areas like the graveyard at nemract and kill everything from a safe distance. Shaman has always been the best and most fun class for me and I cant stop going back to it no matter how hard I try to use a different class

As a warrior main for 10 long years it makes me tear up to see a day where warrior is great and has a fun playstyle. I still remember the days when I had to uppercut cancel to do mediocre damage. Also the many times people told me to switch to assassin because it was "better warrior".

It's funny how Paladin is like "my armor can endure far more than you can," battle monk is like "swift as the wind," and fallen is like "uhhh please let me live I just want to try please"

after coming back to wynncraft after 3 years and seeing that they implemented a bunch of new mechanics and skill trees absolutely blew me away and also daunted on me because all of my characters now have tons of skill points i dont know where to put, but your video helped a ton to figure what i might like, so thanks for the great introduction to all of the archetypes. good video 👍

Good question! and thank you :) I believe that is because Wynncraft itself is underrated, especially in the media world. Despite the server having player peaks of 2,000, this server doesn't get as much attention as you would expect. There are not enough dedicated Wynncraft channels of high enough quality to spread the word and lets plays/gameplay series typically do not do well (with rare exceptions: ChaosDragon), which is pretty discouraging. Despite the niche audience, I still think it's worth the time I have invested. YT channels always need to start somewhere and I'm filling a big hole for a big server! works out for me, I'd say! His channel is too small to be a Wynncraft Media rank, but I recommend checking out @Boxcart - they make some of my favorite Wynncraft videos

@@loonitick This is true, but I also think the issue is with youtube audience itself being more attracted to shitty content like a random guy screaming and dancing on a chair every time random stuff happens (I think you know who I am talking about). More than that I also think that the quantity > quality motive also kicks in, which may be the reason why wynncraft's reach is limited. I think boltslinger deserves a higher spot in the fun tier list. Casting casting a few spells then running circles around enemies at Mach speed is very fun.

I started with acolyte shaman and always looked at it as a ‘grenade throwing’ class.. just chuck a totem in a room and hit aura, boom everything dies.

Acolyte is the best. Totem wins the 2nd place award for being the best companion in the game, it keeps me alive and deals with hordes. I often question why people shatter their totem, it's almost as if they want to intentionally murder it. Also, if you are wondering what the best companion is, it's the boat.

People shatter their totem for the burst damage / regen, but its always better to keep the totem for any more-than-minor fight

The existence of olympic makes aco/ritu s tier imo, terms of both funness and overall. That relik singlehandedly carries the entire class for me as a shaman enjoyer. Olympic acolyte with lunatic mask somehow manages to be an op braindead playstyle that also has a risk/reward system Jumping away from all your problems is incredible

Olympic is great! im not the biggest fan of Shaman, but you can tell that I still think it's good enough to not have any of its archetypes end up in B tier. It *could* and should be more interesting, which is my only wish. Acolyte is based

I love how compared to many other tier list videos on KZread this one was blatantly optimistic and generous to every item in the list, giving them all some form of benefit of the doubt. I mostly agree with all these opinions, great video as usual!

thank you very much! I definitely prefer to stick to a more optimistic way of scripting, and it's not like its forced at all. As you can see with Shaman or Riftwalker, I was clear about when I didn't like something. Most of the classes are similarly balanced, surprisingly. The builds near the top just have a better max DPS, great survivability built into the archetype, or are easier to build & play

Ritualist is such a fun and unique archetype for Shaman, being able to change your play style on the fly is so cool

Too bad that people only use the yellow one (I forgot the names of them) for combat. The white one is used to travel and the green one is used only against a single opponent or to shatter... it would be a lot better if the three masks' debuffs were reduced and the damage of the yellow one was reduced so you ever have a reason to fight with the others

I especially enjoy mixing Paladin and Fallen for a really thematic and especially powerful Apocalypse build. Real “Oathbreaker” energy there.

To elaborate (for those not in the know), Mantle of the Bovemists is another effect which triggers upon using War Scream, granting a shield for a small amount of time. This allows more control over your own corrupt status (such as spamming Armour Breaker/giant quadBash without fear of death)

the name of the game! Wynncraft takes pride in its gameplay loop and having such unique variety with the classes really makes the experience just that much better

The fact you put sharpshooter at S made me super happy, even to the point I physically acted on it

You can actually get mana storm on riftwalker but the at is very tight on points. I'll have to try it soon on my lameme build to see if I can actually butcher my mouse or not. Great video nontheless, you convinced me to try arcanist once I get a any other mythic wand in the game

it's mentioned (in text, above Manastorm ability image) when im talking about Riftwalker. also the entire Macro Mage section and its existence was only possible because of Manastorm. what an absolutely wild ability still an endgame requirement and Macros were recently nerfed so you're still better off just using Arcanist (or admittedly, Light Bender might just be more worth using now)

Riftwalker with a teleport spam build could be funny, especially with Warp. also, cool video 👍

Been playing mage since 2013 and went to light bender when 2.0 dropped. I tried arcanist but couldn't get past the lack of heal spell. Well the recent double xp weekend gave me a chance to start a new character so I tried arcanist. In short, it's now my favourite and I've done every cave in the game aside from the ones in silent expanse and I'm not even level 90 yet. Champ set + morph accessories is so broken I stg

@@loonitick fr, i did Reincarnation at the same level as my first time on mage and when i did it the first time i fought Bob for a good 10 minutes, dealing with the swords and attack patterns and phases. Went in with a full mana bank, cast 5 meteors in his face and killed the mage phase so fast i thought it was actually the last phase and that he'd gone invisible when actually he just died. I've never had this kind of damage output before in wynncraft, it feels amazing

God this video is amazing, I loved every second of it (even if my archetype got put in B lol) Keep up the amazing work man :D

i appreciate the thoughtful comment! Yes, the classes that do well without high skill/lots of effort are still rated pretty high in this tier list. Sharpshooter, Light Bender, Acrobat (its not high CPS, but a learned technique), and yea. Spell Spam naturally is busted so classes like Trickster and Battle Monk/Fallen are really good, but even then Battle Monk has a very viable low CPS playstyle-- Bash Scream

I haven't been on Wynncraft in a while, these new archetypes that were added look really fun. I should hop on again sometime!

From my experience playing a lot of shaman and mage light weaver too I find the summoner class to be not all that fun and quite boring. And while I like the healing of light weaver it doesn’t have the nuking potential (while still having super good healing) of acolyte, using weapons that buff spell damage will turn this class into a nuke with both the increased damage of aura and uproots final upgrade that turns it into a boss melting laser beam. Lately I’ve also been using a lot of ritualist. While not as high damage as acolyte it’s more quality of life and fun oriented, being able to go fast is very nice and the ability to switch to a bit more of a tanky build in sticky situations with just one spell is very handy. It’s main draw is being able to fit in any situation without needing a new build such as traversing Wynn, tanking a big attack or swarm clear. It’s overall very fun

i mained acro because tricko somehow felt harder probably because the first try i did with it was LI on an etw low walkspeed build with no idea how to play and that experience kept me from trying properly

yea that's understandable. i need to make a proper video about Trickster maybe. it borders brain-off S tier and the clones provide a ton of EHP. The build concept is pretty easy: get 4 Jump height and make sure you use Multi Hit. And losing clones reduces your Mirror Image cooldown so that you can spawn your clones back in even quicker. didn't know clones reduced clone cd, i guess sandbagging triggers with clone dmg reduction the time i struggled was months ago, and now i feel pretty confident about knowing how the game works that i have the urge to try something new also i love fshilt might try it out before getting into etw territory again

So how would you rate a hybrid playstyle like Riftbender,Fallen+Paladin? Are they gonna be sitting in the spot of their main archetypes?

RiftBender is fundamentally Light Bender. Hybrids were considered into the tier list, as well as how they involve other archetypes. The video could be half an hour long if i really wanted to go into detail about all the nuance in this Tier List :3

Trickster is great! players still use it and there's a few ways to go about building it. It has more EHP (effective health) than Paladin with its clones and the aoe is pretty massive. If you're not digging it, Acrobat is pretty unique albeit heavy on the mechanics. might have trouble figuring it out... (i have a guide for that)

I actually love using Paladin supporting my teammates with my extremely tanky build that i can barely die, and tbh Shaman summoner is also useful for supporting low levels, like you do a tanky build with high health and with a Silent Ballet, you can just heal newbies without stealing mobs from them!

Silent Ballet is very very nice for that, yea Not many times for tank Paladin to be useful. Guardian's major id granting resistance to nearby players is dope though

i answered this on stream, but just for anyone wondering: Rewind's Major ID "Sorcery" does not work for clones. Roiling Ruckus works out better for the trickster build playstyle far better.

Ritualist gets so slept on, easily the most fun and best archetype for shaman

It does the most DPS but it's really boring. In addition, the crafted nerf kinda brought Ritualist's top DPS down and Acolyte went back to being the best DPS (Hadal)

I would not recommend Acolyte for beginner and mid level players. You really need to have a huge health pool and ability to constantly manage it

Im new in wynncraft, around lvl 40 with an assassin but still i dont get which out of the 3 (shade, trickester and acrobat) is better. Any tips?

Shadestepper for leveling and general game immersion. Acrobat is more fun later on when the archetype has full access to its ability roster. Trickster is just spellspam and kinda boring

I heard after stacking a bit riftwalker does like 50k a meteor now, is it really worth it to play arcanist instead?

@@loonitick tbh it actually does look weird, I have the wands and other stuffs textures but I don’t have the hp, mana and bar type of stuffs aren’t those textures that you have, all I have is the hearts and hunger bar instead of the mana and health that you have.

i fuckin love Paladin. I've been using a hella chunker Guardian heavy hybrid build and it's the most lunatic experience ever (constantly taking damage for top DPS-- endurance moment)

A new player should pick assassin for the survivability, then try out archer or warrior, then mage, then shaman. I know it's different for every player, but that's what Bob did, so...

Other classes exist? I only have archer in my class choice screen

on gobbity just click the green + and choose warrior so you have the easiest endgame experience

that one crafted tierstack alka guy on every raid deleting the boss in 5 seconds and proving that fallen is absolutely a balanced archetype also trickrobat feels meh in lootruns imo but that could be just me.

I am not a fan of Trickrobat for lootruns, but TrickShade still works very well. I have yet to start cooking up different Trickster playstyles for Lootruns though

@@loonitick I think if you can get the travel time shorter trickster playstyle has some potential to be great in lootruns, but I cannot stand running instead of flying after playing acro lol.

quetz arcanist is great! Weathered Acrobat gets to use Parry which is just super cool to think about-- im too good to get hit though so i cant fully utilize Parry :(

If you get warrior definitely give my favorite meme build a try. Alkatraz tstack. You're basically a glass cannon on par with archer, but in exchange you can hit a potential dps of 300k at the very minimum and up to 400k at the max. For a cheap mythic alkatraz that's a fuck ton of damage. You are very very glassy tho. However, with proper skill and map awareness you can prevent death by just not getting hit. You could also just save money and get a hero battlemonk build.

Acrobat is one of the most satisfying things to play in Wynncraft, that's for sure!

50/50 battle monk and fallen allows me to fill the fantasy of being xiao from genshin I love boltslinger so i can just spam arrow storm and bomb like 1.0

Fallen monk hero build is super duper fun. I use full battlemonk for raids tho because I love face tanking greg through recieving heals from my healer mage friend.

Arcanist is cool and all but its sad that warp isnt the best arcanist wand due to the need to cancel hpr :(

it can be done but it definitely isnt easy. An Arcanist Warp build requires a bit more dedication to getting as close to 0 HPR as possible

Shaman just kinda feels bad outside of level grinding.

I think arcanist is an S, it does huge damage but you need a mythic build for it to be viable, maybie i am wrong but i think arcanist is quite godly.

Paladin or summoner. Paladin because of the incredible hp that will keep you alive after taking some lag damage, and summoner because most of your damage will come from your totem

The only thing I did wrong was underrate Boltslinger. paladin might need to be put in a lower spot now that it can't aggro tank Greg lol

@@loonitick They can't aggro tank anymore? That's like, their main thing! And I think Boltslinger is the most overrated of the archers. In order to get max damage potential, you have to give up a lot of your range advantage. Sure you often end up in close quarters combat in Wynncraft, but it's still restricting you to a sub-par playstyle. Without any Mythics, I often find it not worth the risk. I mean, it's the only one of the Archer Archetypes I can't consistently solo raids using.

I have like the direct opposite opinion from this video but still find it making sense? Boltslinger and trickster are basically lag machines. Arcanist is riftwalker with more damage but no heal(trading heal for more intense spellspam is unacceptable for og mage player, we pick mage for the heal, please at least give us new abilities? I rather go for the alien lightbender) I actually watch this video for learning about what players think of arcanist for a rework suggestion 2.0 made Shaman op, especially ritualist, that stat boosts are ridiculous. I used spell-spam battle monk(double concentration) for leveling since it looks cool and early game paladin seems bad and I'd die playing fallen. Switched to poison palamonk at the mid to late game bottleneck.

mage is spell spam incarnate and Arcanist doubles down on that. very satisfying! shaman sucks BALLS other than mob grinding. i guess it does easy damage so you can cheese a fair amount of boss fights with the right build...
