When his enemies saw him in the high ground
Can we talk about the bravery of the security guards? Engaging enemies armed with explosives and automatic rifles while you only have a pistol is incredibly brave, those men likely bought valuable time for some people that day. If they just ran the cars likely would have rolled up to the centre of town and started opening fire on civilians right away.
The Force is strong with this SAS soldier.
This was a really sad day. My mum's friend lost her daughter as she helped clients and fellow employees out of Dusit. Unfortunately she was one of the last ones out and the blast got her. RIP Bernadette. Christian's reaction was unreal, it's like the guy drives around with a full arsenal in his trunk. He saved a lot of people that day.

I'm deeply sorry for the loss of such a heroic young woman. Bernadette may not be the individual most of us automatically associate with this appalling attack, but that in no way lessens the selfless sacrifice she made. I hope her family and friends can draw some degree of strength and pride from her actions. To those people she saved, and their loved ones, she will remembered for eternity. Just recently saw Grand Thumbs interview with this guy. Quite a surreal interview if you ask me. The guy talks a lot about the conflict of teaching kids to be soldiers even though what made him the way he is was being so adamant about fighting at a young age. Really nice guy and a good example (IMO) of how normal people who train and decide early on they want to help people that become these heroes in time of need. Thank you to all the people like that.

That's why poor countries use spices and rich countries don't - rich countries simply never had to use them because even peasants always had access to good quality meat. When meat is of a high quality, spices only detract from the flavour. You might not believe me, but that's only because you've never tried British beef or gammon or bacon. For those unaware, the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment, Delta, came to life because of basically one man. Charging Charlie Beckwith had spent some time with the 22SAS, and figured America needed a similar unit that specialises in hostage rescue. It wasn't easy convincing the Brass that it was a good idea. Eventually he won over them, probably with help from the terrorists, who made it clear that there was a need for such a unit. Charging Charlie was a true warrior. We should all be grateful that such men and their "Toxic Masculinity" exist. Just like Obi Won Nairobi. It wasn't his watch that day. He saw a dire need to rescue people. He probably knew he was the best man within 50 miles or more to undertake the mission. Outstanding! One needs to hear the whole story. Twice while fighting in the stairwells, he was stunned and knock out temporarily by hand grenades thrown down on his position. He kept getting up and clearing rooms and floors. I can only assume that since it wasn't an official war that the British were involved with, a VC was never a possibility. Of course men like him don't fight for medals but personally, I think what he did rates right up there with Rorchs Drift for bravery and going far above and beyond what can be expected of any man, anywhere, anytime. Perhaps a shout out to Dave Sterling for starting the SAS back in North Africa during WW2. Well done sir. I'm sure if he knew what became of L Detachment, he'd be well pleased. Guess I've babbled on more than long enough. Have a good day folks. Hopefully in a country that's free, because of men like them. Amen!!

Love your history video and it's great to see you on video.
Please take this in a good way ... Been a subscriber for a long time, and this is the first time I've seen what you look like! Wasn't what I expected, but very nice to finally put a face to the voice!
General Grevious = "General Keno- OH CRAP ITS NAIROBI!" Nairobi = "The IRS and M16 has found out you haven't paid your taxes"
Kenyan Government: Help me Obi Wan Nairobi… you’re my only hope!
Brah, I did not expect you to look like that!? Looking good buddy, keep up the great videos.
The artistic accuracy is amazing!!!! Great work on reenacting Nairobi so well. Including minute details.
We finally saw you! Keep up the great content!
It's time for an episode on Paddy Mayne. Especially with the release of SAS Rogue Hero's being such a succes
Nice video. Plz do more of the modern stuff like this.
This needs a movie. More than anything else, this.
Just listened to his interview with Garand Thumb the other day. Dude is a beast
That guy didn't look like how I pictured him.
Heartiest compliments to the creator of this animated video for taking time out to make such a painstaking visual narration of the incident. Making such animations can be quite laborious.
Oh my gosh it’s good to finally see the face of the voice I’ve been listening to for years!!!!!!
He was truly the Christian Crackhead, his bravery is more than respectable. What a great guy, he threw away his self preservation for others. He didn’t need the high ground, but he had the balls. Respect 🫡
The strongest defense is a swift and decisive offense.
Love the fact you go on detail on the gun because you know your audience.
Fucking hero. I've seen the video clips of this and Christian was damn impressive. Smooth and deliberate in his actions.
What an absolute Beaut. “Who Dares Wins” indeed

I'm Kenyan 🇰🇪 and really enjoyed this#DuSit.Rest in Peace to those lost in the carnage.
I can't help but notice at 5:22 you drew a picture of one of my helicopters 13-08133 from Big windy 1-214th AVN. Small world ay. Absolutely amazing detail btw.
And that is why high standards and hard training is so very important for elite forces.
First time see your face after few years following your channel. 😆
glad i found your channel!
Bro your voice is iconic and really help keep you in dept
The phone call he received telling him of the situation, came from American soldiers training Kenyans as well. They were not allowed to take any action. They knew the Brits were allowed. So they called him.

It’s true that the Americans hadn’t been given the green light, but I’m pretty sure Christian was similarly waiting for the British embassy’s go ahead even after he went in. He was off duty and responded to local forces (whom he’d been training) requesting help. Given he was the first of western special forces on scene, alone, he pretty much took command of what everyone there needed to do. Then he just went for it.

There are many exceptional soldiers that go beyond the call of duty and have shown exceptional bravery when saving civilian lives. Those brave souls deserve truly deserve the highest form of respect.
You gotta love the affectionate nicknames that people come up with! Good on you, Obi Wan Nairobi (Craighead)! Good show, my friend! 👏🏻🍺🦅
