None of the BADGUYS could have possibly known that a professional British SAS soldier was quickly moving toward their position to eliminate them. Wearing body armor, a balaclava, and a pair of jeans, Craighead aka 'Obi Wan Nairobi ' got to work.

Can we talk about the bravery of the security guards? Engaging enemies armed with explosives and automatic rifles while you only have a pistol is incredibly brave, those men likely bought valuable time for some people that day. If they just ran the cars likely would have rolled up to the centre of town and started opening fire on civilians right away.

I'm deeply sorry for the loss of such a heroic young woman. Bernadette may not be the individual most of us automatically associate with this appalling attack, but that in no way lessens the selfless sacrifice she made. I hope her family and friends can draw some degree of strength and pride from her actions. To those people she saved, and their loved ones, she will remembered for eternity. Kindest regards from Yorkshire, UK.

Just recently saw Grand Thumbs interview with this guy. Quite a surreal interview if you ask me. The guy talks a lot about the conflict of teaching kids to be soldiers even though what made him the way he is was being so adamant about fighting at a young age. Really nice guy and a good example (IMO) of how normal people who train and decide early on they want to help people that become these heroes in time of need. Thank you to all the people like that.

I remember seeing a photo of Chris in his balaclava midway through his assault and i will never forget the look in his eyes. Pure cold calculated precision. As someone who lives where the SAS is based i have a huge interest in the regiment and have seen these guys in their daily lives. Though they do their best to blend in they have an aura around them that you notice, never the biggest guys, always quiet and absolutely fucking terrifying.

@@TriggerVR657 Do you know why we dont use spices? It's because our meat is of extremely high quality. Historically, spices were only used to cover up the foul taste of low quality/old/rotten meat. That's why poor countries use spices and rich countries don't - rich countries simply never had to use them because even peasants always had access to good quality meat. When meat is of a high quality, spices only detract from the flavour. You might not believe me, but that's only because you've never tried British beef or gammon or bacon. Adding spices to British meat is like adding ketchup to a nice steak.

For those unaware, the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment, Delta, came to life because of basically one man. Charging Charlie Beckwith had spent some time with the 22SAS, and figured America needed a similar unit that specialises in hostage rescue. It wasn't easy convincing the Brass that it was a good idea. Eventually he won over them, probably with help from the terrorists, who made it clear that there was a need for such a unit. Charging Charlie was a true warrior. We should all be grateful that such men and their "Toxic Masculinity" exist. Just like Obi Won Nairobi. It wasn't his watch that day. He saw a dire need to rescue people. He probably knew he was the best man within 50 miles or more to undertake the mission. Outstanding! One needs to hear the whole story. Twice while fighting in the stairwells, he was stunned and knock out temporarily by hand grenades thrown down on his position. He kept getting up and clearing rooms and floors. I can only assume that since it wasn't an official war that the British were involved with, a VC was never a possibility. Of course men like him don't fight for medals but personally, I think what he did rates right up there with Rorchs Drift for bravery and going far above and beyond what can be expected of any man, anywhere, anytime. Perhaps a shout out to Dave Sterling for starting the SAS back in North Africa during WW2. Well done sir. I'm sure if he knew what became of L Detachment, he'd be well pleased. Guess I've babbled on more than long enough. Have a good day folks. Hopefully in a country that's free, because of men like them. Amen!!

"Toxic Masculinity" are those that are all bark and no bite as the saying goes, a shallow understanding of power and what it means to wield it. Men like Craighead are unassuming, quiet, but focused and disciplined and know EXACTLY how to wield that power. Outside of Colonel Beckworth... look up Sergeant Major Mike Vining another Delta "Original" and his demeanor was more like Craighead's, which is described above.
