Sehr schöne Komposition und Sound-Gestaltung 🎶✨🎶 DANKE für das Video 🤗🤗🤗 nicht nur "Neptun" schaut und hört entspannt zu ;-) Ich finde der Oberheim Xpander klingt sehr gut 👍 dieses 8 Minuten-Werk nimmt mich irgendwie mit - auf eine kleine Reise in die 80er - als im Radio diese Sounds unter "New Age" gesendet wurden. Wie auch immer..... ;-) jetzt haben wir YT und das Gefühl "Musik lauschen und treiben lassen" ist sofort wieder da.... TOP

This was beautiful! I love the sound of the Oberheim Xpander, I do not own one myself... yet! I do have an Oberheim Matrix 1000 but that's quite different. One day I'll hope to have an Xpander in my studio. Beautiful & inspiring music, Martin!

No, I had to run the tuning routine again after a week but since then it is super stable. I guess that the new power supply helps a lot to keep the tuning.

The cat is from Tyrell, not Arturia. The other black and white thing is the Arturia Keystep. But not the new model, I guess it is the first one they designed.

Hallo Martin! Wie immer sehr schöne entspannte Musik mit vierbeiniger Unterstützung! Ich hätte eine Frage zum Oberheim Expander, ist das ein Synthesizer? Ich dachte immer, der wäre nur zum programmieren eines Instruments gedacht? Hatte noch nie Gelegenheit einen im Original zu sehen. Könntest du ein paar Infos dazu geben? Vielen Dank mach weiter so. Der Oberheim Xpander ist ein Synthesizer! Er wurde in den 80ern gebaut und bietet sehr viele Möglichkeiten zum Programmieren von Sounds, die selbst aktuelle Synthesizer nicht haben. Es gab damals den großen Bruder Matrix 12, der eine Tastatur hat und später noch kleinere Rack-Geräte wie den Matrix 1000, der ganz ohne Bedienelemente auskommt.

@@MartinStuertzer ... und den Matrix 6R, ein 19"-Gerät, ohne Tastatur, aber im Gegensatz zum 1000, der eher ein Sample-Player ist, in wirklich allen Parametern steuerbar. Tolles Ding, hängt bei mir seit Mitte der 80er im Rack.

@@ulrichkliegis4138 Ich nutze den Matrix1000 mit einem Software-Editor und dem OS 1.2, damit lässt sich das Teil auch sehr bequem bearbeiten.

Believe me that I am astonished by his performance every time I record a video. He seems to feel when the camera is rolling.

Sorry this is a noob question. I’m still trying to understand Ableton’s looping with hardware. The way it’s looping through Ableton I’m guessing it’s playing multiple patches at once on the Xpander? Are they playing/looping back as audio or midi tracks in the DAW?

These are audio loops! After the recording of each loop I change the patch on the Xpander and record another loop on a new track. I explained this workflow in detail in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/naB4lqt7lbK9hto.html

It is a midi controller. I can start and stop the recording of the sounds that I play and also change the volume levels and add reverb or delay.
