Its very odd how German coal mines dont use this technology at all instead of using 60 yeard ol takraf bucket chain excavators for coal collection. (After the bucket wheel excavators have removed the overburden of course)

This is a relatively new type of machine I think. It also seems targeted at lower volume operations given its relatively small size.

That is because the bucket wheel excavators dig about 100 times more volume then that this thing can do

@@Niidforseat yes but bucket wheel Excavators are used for overburden removal. Whereas this machine is used to collect the exposed coal. I was comparing it to bucket chain reclaimers. And the question still is this machine vs a bucket chain reclaimer, not a bucket wheel excavator
