    Another excellent job, Brandon! WSI, and many other manufactures, need to pay you or at least give you free models for your hard work! I guarantee your video's help push sales and you deserve to be compensated. The plastic inserts on the jib really suck, especially considering the outrageous price of the LTM 1500 8.1, luffing jib! Whatever... Anyway, nice cameo from the Pepsi can! lol... Thank you, Brandon.

    WOW! This is awesome! When I was a kid I got a Maisto Crane Truck M-78 and I loved it. Sure it isn't that much detailed, since it is a generic friction toy, but it is close as functional, with working supports, counter-weight, working and stretching arm and cable. It made me like heavy vehicles. Nice acquisition and video. If you don't mind, how long is the truck and limit of the crane horizontal/vertical?

    Hello, great video ! Love it .. gives a great idea on what the model with the jib looks like. I am considering buying the jib. I am wondering, how much weight can you attach in the various configurations with the jib? Does it follow the manual (after dividing by 125,000 for scale) ? The picture with the pool is pretty cool.

    Another amazing job, you're dedication to detail is outstanding. If I owned a crane company, I'd have my new operators watch your videos to see how it's done. I have a question that's been bugging me for years, maybe you can answer it: how are the individual sections of the mast extended on the real cranes? I can't see any gear racks or pistons anywhere. What pushes them up? Keep up the great work!

  • @cranedude07

    thanks! each section has 2 locking pins, that extend out and lock into the outer secrion, located at the bottom, not visible, but on the boom, you can see small holes, 1 on each side. well usually 3 different holes on each side. this is where the locking pin is set, there are usually 3 different boom length stages, 50%, 92%, and 100%. that is where the locking pins lock, so the boom doesn't slide down, inside the first section, the one that doesn't extend, is a cylinder/ram. it grabs a section and pushes it out to the desired length. once the pins lock, it retracts, unlocks the next section, then pushes it out and locks it. but can only push out 1 section at a time, except smaller link belt cranes or grove rts. they are able to extend all at once. it is a interesting procedure, I think liebherr has a video of it on youtube, might have to search for it though

    Any hints as to how to retract the boom on a LTM 1090? I have the whole crane extended and can only retract the lowest portion. All of the other button are stiff and can’t be pressed.

  • @cranedude07

    @cranedude07

    Жыл бұрын

    That's weird, I do not have that model and haven't heard of that issue. But if they are all fully extended, you will have to start at the top section and retract it first, then work your way down from there to each section, since I believe it has multiple locking positions in each section, can only retract it from the top down, otherwise you cannot get to the locking pins. Might have to pull the boom section up a little and try and push the pin in.

  • @pjevans854

    @pjevans854

    Жыл бұрын

    @@cranedude07 thanks for responding! Each section seems to have two buttons. Do you think it would be the bottom button on each section? I was trying to pull up a bit, but was afraid I would break the plastic around each section if I pulled too hard. I tried pushing pretty hard on the buttons and they are so solid, they don’t budge.

  • @cranedude07

    @cranedude07

    Жыл бұрын

    @PJ Evans are each sections fully extended or locked at the middle notch? If they are at the middle notch, you will have to extend them more starting with the lowest section and go up to the top section, and have them all at the last notch, then retract them from the top, down. It can get confusing. It's just hard to explain through text lol.

  • @pjevans854

    @pjevans854

    Жыл бұрын

    @@cranedude07 haha I think I know what you mean. I’m pretty sure they are all extended. If I pull on any section to try and extend farther, they don’t budge. I can literally lift the whole model up by pulling on any section of that makes sense. I must be a total moron to not be able to figure this out
