Who has the BEST Laksa in the world?!
This week, I’ve been invited to experience and attend one of the largest Laksa events in the world happening in the northern part of Australia, Darwin City called the Darwin International Laksa Festival this 27th November (who would’ve thought!?) Super excited for this trip and will be doing a 3-Episode Special on my whole experience there so stay tuned! I even heard they have Laksa Ice Cream like what!
In conjunction with that, I thought let’s revisit one of my all-time favorite recipes for this week’s episode, one of the many amazing Peranakan cuisines from Melaka called the Nyonya Laksa, which I will be doing a cooking demonstration there to share with them my version of Laksa which I'm very proud to be able to represent and share Malaysia's heritage food. Sherson Lian kicked off his TV career with (and still is!) hosting ‘5 Rencah 5 Rasa’ on TV3 Malaysia, a cooking show that has been on the air the past 10 years, with 24 seasons and 1500+ recipes and counting! He has also hosted multiple TV shows on the Asian Food Network (previously AFC), including "Amazing Food Challenge; Fun in the Philippines', ‘Great Dinners of The World’, 'Reality Bites' and 4 seasons of ‘Family Kitchen with Sherson’ together with his mum.
Sherson Lian is the co-founder of Makhan by Kitchen Mafia, a restaurant in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia and Kitchen Mafia, an F&B solutions company that offers catering, private dining/chef's table sessions, and restaurant/menu consultancy among other services.

    Sambau Curry mee,.. Cabai kisar 8 sudu, bunga rawang 2.kuntum ,bawang kecil 10.biji,tumbuk kasar, jintan manis half tea spoon, belachen goreng 1.spoon ,Chicjen stock 1 spoon gula 1.spoon ,tumis bagi harum dan wanggi baru turun Udang Rawa 15 ekur untuk sambai Curry mee buat perhiadan di atas.campur Sayur. Pudina, bukan daun kesum atau Chendehorn, adalah reciopi yg salah. !ok.

    Miss out.. Udang lioan 1.kg goreng dengan bawang putih 12 biji, hinggah harum baru turum cabai kisar 5 sudu yg besar,. Campur kulit udang 3 kg, buat kuah Cuurry Mee.. Apa Rasa.. Penang Champion Curry Mee..!

    .Too Chef.. Ini bujan Nyoya Laksa 7Penang.. Ini Recipi ialah Penang Curry.. Jika jamu bubuh daun kesum, cecipi sudah salah.. Only Penang Laksa baru bubuh daun kesum atau Chendehorn. !

    Daun kesum have been in Malaysia for ages ,but lately I have been hearing the younger chefs calling it the vietnamese mint why should we call it by that name where it is already here .we also should remember laksa is a malaysian food and we have been using daun kesum or daun cenohom from my grandmother's time and now I am a 73 yol still usinh it.Next time just call it daun kesum our own herbs that grows well in our country

    Jija tidak bubih Air Asam jawa, Asam keping, Otak udang, ini tidak bokeh serbut.. Laksa Penag.. Recipu kamu sudah campur.. Laksa dan Currt Mee.. ( Curry mee tidak bubuh, tibum, daun jjesum atau Chemdehorn ) Only Penang Laksa baru bubuh bahan dan bunbu tersebut.. Nama yg salah dan reciou yg silap.. Ok.
